Today is Sunday time to look back in the rearview mirror and talk about my week . I am linking up to the Sunday Post hosted for years by Kimberly@caffeinatedreviewer .
In my private life
Happy Sunday!
First thing first: last week I told you that my mother foolishly ignored her yearly car maintenance and had a light flashing on her dashboard about motor oil.
Well after having been properly scolded she called her car assistance and they just added a lot of oil in her car. Now she has an appointment to the car shop, finally!
I think she has learned her lesson and that won’t happen again LOL
Otherwise, it has been a pretty uneventful week with my husband being very sick with a rattling cough, flu symptoms, throat ache and fever!
The doctor didn’t want to see him and prescribed some medicine remotely.
He didn’t even want him to get tested for COVID!
Beware of the Husband is finally feeling better but it’s been a long time since I had seen him so sick!
It was even more frustrating for him that he ended up being the only one sick! Nor me nor our son, all living under the same roof caught any virus.
Sorry hubby you are on your own here! 😉
Last thing and it’s related to today’s title: in one week we went from Spring with sun and 18°C to winter with snow fall and -1°C !
It’s no wonder that when on holiday with cold, rain and a pool you only find Belgian inside the pool LOL. Our weather is simply so crazy that if we were waiting for sunny days to do something, we’d never do anything!
On the blog (March Wrap Up): click on the graphic to read the post
In March I have read 9 books. Not the highest number but two of them were big chunky ones: House of Sky and Breath with 805 pages and The War of Two Queens with 628 pages. Surprisingly, on the nine books I have read, one was a 2 stars, two a 3 stars and one 3,5 stars. So not my better month!
I have three favorites this month.
Thanks for reading!
Sophie

Omg, the weather lately has been crazy – I was already ready for spring outfits and then I needed to bring out the sweaters and scarves and gloves again, haha! Hope Beware of the Husband is feeling better by now!
He is Lindsey thank you!
I see a lot of bloggers that write about the weather being lovely, Springy and then all of a sudden there is snow. It’s the same over here!
Hopefully you’ll have a great week ahead!
Thank you Esther! You too!
Glad to hear hubby is finally feeling better.
Thank you!
I had already put away my winter coat but hahaha had to dig it back out again
Well I had kept it at the ready Stephanie 😉
Our weather’s also been all over the place, Sophie. Hard frost warning one morning, then 75 degrees two days later. Glad to hear hubby is on the mend!
Crazy I know!
It stinks that your hubby has been sick and the doctor isn’t helpful. It has been so hard these days to know what to do when you get sick. I am actually excited to see that it is warming up where you are because my sister is planning on visiting Paris at the end of the month. It will be nice for her to have some warmer temps. I hope that you enjoy your books this week! 🙂
Oooh I hope your sister will have a grand time in Paris!
Weather has been crazy here too! Last week for a couple days we were teased with t-shirt temperatures, and then this week we had high winds and sub zero weather and even some brief snow and hail, lol! Ugh I just want summer to be here for real already 😛
Me too Mogsy! Flip flop and bikini top please!
Glad hubby is on the mend. Most men don’t cope well with being sick 🙂
Well in my house it’s me who does not cope well the very very few times I have been sick Jacquie LOL
Hope the husband feels better soon! It must be so awful to go through that many symptoms at the same time!
He is still unwell today but he’ll get better!
I’m glad you read some great books! I forgot to write about it but earlier this week here it was 37F/ 3C, 10 am 47F / 8C, noon 57F/ 14C and then 67F/ 20C. It was about 30F/ 18C change in one day! I was just glad it was a warm up rather than a cool down.
Anne – Books of My Heart This is my Sunday Post
Your weather seems as crazy as ours Anne!
I’m sorry your husband got so sick. My husband hasn’t been feeling well either. He’s had the same symptoms as yours. He took an at-home COVID test and it was negative. I haven’t caught what he’s had either. Luckily, he’s starting to feel better too. I hope you have a good week!
Sorry for your husband too! I hope he is on the mend too!
Your weather sounds like ours Sophie, come and live over here and you won’t know the difference (and won’t pay customs charges!!
Bwahaha! And England is my home away from home Caro!
Sorry your husband was so ill, but its great that no one else got sick! Our weather was crazy too-including some snow flakes! Hope you have a great week!
Thank you Samantha!
Sorry to hear about your husband, but I am glad he is feeling better!! And the weather turned bad here too, it snowed only high up on the mountains, but it rained and the temperatures dropped!
And even if you didn’t read all amazing books, it seems like you read at least some!!!
It seems the weather is crazy everywhere Susy!
Oh, I hope your hubby feels better soon!
I only read ten books in March, but also had a chunky one. It has been a while since I read 13 or 14 books in a month. Maybe this month?
Enjoy your week and your month!
Thank you Laurel! You too!
Poor husband! Glad to hear he is on the mend. We had a massive cold front here too. It was about -4C and windy. It was brutal earlier in the week. Stay warm!
Thank you Sam!
Viruses are so weird- they can be so contagious but other times you can be in the same household and not get it. You never know! Anyway- same here with weather. It’s been a wacky early spring already!
Hope you have a nice weekend! 🙂
Thank you Greg!
That is crazy weather! I rally hope your hubby keeps getting better. Crazy the doctor didn’t even want to test him!
I know right?
Poor hubby, I hope he’s on the road to recovery. And I get what you’re saying about the weather, we get the same here. One minute it’s snowing, the next it’s mild, then it’s hailing then it’s 22 degrees. But Quebeckers are always outside in all weathers.
He is still unwell unfortunately Alex. But he’ll get better!
I think three 5 star books in one month is really good Sorry your hubby was sick, but I’m glad the rest of you were OK. Hope April is a good month!
Me too Tammy! We need a good month.
