Hi dear friends,
Today we host an hybrid well not really but Alexandra Wolfe is a blogger AND a writer πΒ
I came to know Alexandra when she began commenting religiously on my blog. As my mom raised me to be polite, I visited her blog and was soon charmed by Alexandra’s wit, no nonsense attitude and dry humor. She even confesses that she is “only an opinionated woman talking about books, movies, TV , genre fiction and so much more.”
Go figure Alexandra succeded in making me fall in love with science fiction!
Without further ado let’s hear Alexandra’s choice today!
I wanted to share a song that I fell in love with, as a kid because it reminds me of a place and time (1965) and a moment when my mother was happy! She played the song … a lot! π
LOVE LETTERS
Sung by Ketty Lester
Written by: Vic Young and Edward Heyman (1962)
Lyrics:
Love letters straight from your heart
Keep us so near while apart
I’m not alone in the night
When I can have all the love you write.
I memorize ev’ry line
I kiss the name that you sign
And darlin, then I read again right from the start
Love letters straight from your heart.

*very APPROPRIATE*
Dumb auto correct π
Bwahahaha Trisy autocorrect is always dumb with me too π
Awww…songs always remind me of certain moments or specific times in my life. Very app and fab song!
What a beautiful song! I’m surprised I’ve not heard this one before since I grew up hearing almost nothing but “oldies” (ahem) at home thanks to my mother. Lester has such a rich and lovely voice.
You too Tanya??? My dad was a fan of Louis Armstrong, Glen Miller, Elvis Presley, Aretha Franklin etc.
Aw, thank you Sophie, you too are such a sweetheart. And I visit daily to your wonderful blog because your posts are always a great read. And I’ve learnt a great deal about romance as a genre, than I thought possible, thanks to your good self.
Thanks for sharing one of my all time fav songs! xxx
Thank you for being willing to “play” with me Alexandra ;-)))
