Challenge details
- Runs January 1, 2025 – December 31, 2025. You can join at any time.
- The goal is to find a new love for audios or to outdo yourself by listening to more audios in 2025 than you did in 2024.
- Books must be in audio format (CD, MP3, etc.)
- All genres count.
- Re-reads and crossovers from other reading challenges are allowed.
- You do not have to be a book blogger to participate; you can track your progress on Goodreads, Facebook, etc. I recommend creating a shelf on Goodreads titled 2025 Audiobook Challenge. You can keep track and link the shelf.
- Grab the button and do a quick post about the challenge to help spread the word. You can post on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, BlueSky, Threads, Mastodon, your blog etc. about the challenge.
- Updates plus a giveaway will be posted twice during the year. The first update will be July 5, 2025, and the last update will take place on December 27, 2025. You’ll have one week to link up and share your progress and enter giveaway

- The 100 Club (Audiobook Addict) 100+
- I Can’t Hear You (earbuds always in) 125-150
- Audibly Addicted (listening to all the books 24/7) 150+

I know I should have entered my results before the end of december but I was so busy posting my bests of that I had no free slot!
In 2024, I chose Marathoner as well and I have listened to 59 books! Goal!!!!

Great job with the challenge. I am amazed by how many different genres you can listen to. If there are accents or too many details (most fantasy, mystery books) I struggle with the audio. I did listen to 64 last year which is more than I thought, but a lot less than I used to. Good luck with your 2025 challenge!
You have difficulties with accents? Oh I thought it was only a foreigner problem to be honest!
If the books are are read by English narrators, I struggle. Oddly, I do better with Australian accents (I have no idea why).
Really??? I love English accent (but not Cockney LOL)
I like the accent, but I have to pay better attention otherwise I cannot always catch what they are saying.

I had aimed for 2, and ive read three my problem is finding which one I wanna read… takes me forever and I end up giving up (dont know what I want/cant stand the voice/snippit feels meh..)
That’s why I always listen to an excerpt first because if I can’t stand the voice that will never work!
