I was so glad to be back in Story Lake!

When I read Story of My Life, I started my review with:

“This book was extremely enjoyable and I experienced it like champagne bubbles…”

And honestly? I could copy-paste that here… but this time we’re adding a mini donkey and one more dog to the mix

Not only is the Bishop family as entertaining as ever—with their top-tier banter and constant ribbing—but the entire town of Story Lake is just amazing. It’s one of those places where you want to grab popcorn, park yourself somewhere, and just watch everything unfold.

And I haven’t even talked about our main character yet…

Zoey: curly redhead, agent extraordinaire… and an absolute daily disaster.

What you’ll find in this romance (and yes, it’s a LOT):

– Two unforgettable meet-cutes

The first? Gage literally falling off a roof when he sees Zoey.

The second? Zoey running headfirst—well, boobs first—into Gage’s truck after a bald eagle (Goose!!) throws a snake at her.

Yes. That actually happens.

– A matchmaking bald eagle

Who throws fish, snakes… and even steals pink sequined bras only to return them later as a seal of approval.

(When you finally get your head out of your own behind.)

– A very loud, very in-love mini donkey

Devotion has a soundtrack, apparently.

With their own language, chaotic energy, and absolute firecrackers when together.

Like ADHD and how much damage a bad family environment can do.

Laughter, chaos, “she did NOT just do that” moments, swooning, yearning… and yes, some very spicy scenes

Oh—and let’s not forget:

revenge against Dominion.

I’m still so invested in this series, and I already know I need Levi’s story. I’m very curious to see who Lucy Score pairs him with…
