Hi dear friends,

Today’s topic is just so hard because it’s best cover of books read in 2018!

I am a cover lover and I drool each time a pretty cover crosses my way. I haven’t bought a book just for the cover but I’ve been close enough.

Being on Instagram and following bookstagrammers does not help! I crush on so many books and my wallet does not come out unscathed.

So choosing only one winner today was not easy and I decided to have other contenders just to give you some sweets today LOL

First the contenders….

Atticus by Sawyer Bennett

That cover is just sweet and bubbly with a cute yet naughty dog! Here is one of my bookstagrams with my own cutie.

Ash Princess by Laura Sebastian

I loved this dark yet smooth and gorgeous cover!

Bright We Burn by Kiersten White (and any of her books from The Conquerors saga for what matters)

A Girl Like Lilac by Victoria L James

I can say the cover fits the story: sweet and moving!

Phoenix Unbound by Grace Draven

I love the drawing, the colors orange, gold and blue. And I love Grace Draven’s writing!

And my winner was a TOTAL CRUSH!

I didn’t plan on buying or reading this book until I stumbled upon this UK cover at YALC. I just HAD to BUY it! And it’s been one of the best buys from this year as it made me fall in love with Jay Kristoff’s writing and opened the world of science fiction to li’ll old me!

Lifel1k3 by Jay Kristoff

Now do tell me your winner for 2018!

Thanks for reading

Sophie

  1. So many beautiful books in this one post! The covers have been really good this year and it makes my cover loving heart so happy. I think I am decided and I am going to get the paperback of LifeL3k1 instead of the hardcover actually πŸ˜€ It is gorgeous, as you said πŸ˜€

  2. That’s a great collection of covers and, like you, I am always tempted by a great cover. And look, the winner of your cover is SF! lol!

As for the books I read this year, I would be hard pressed to say which cover I liked the best, but it’s probably THE CITY OF BRASS, which just blew me away. πŸ˜€
