Hi dear friends,
Today is the 27th day of our Best Books of 2018 already! And I know I have to answer many comments since Sunday (shame on me!) but with the family time and then setting up a clone site to test WP 5 and maybe new themes well …I am so behind!
But I will catch up I promise!
Now today is Best Secondary Female Character and I did not even hesitate with my choice because today’s winner had me fall head over heels in like with her!
She is a master at sarcastic come back and I love sarcasm;
She will always have your back especially in desperate situation when you have serial killers droids on your trail;
She has a devil may care attitude;
She is loyal to a fault;
She is very handy to fry everything running on electricity;
She is …Miss Lemon Fresh alias Miss Fresh from Lifel1k3 by Jay Kristoff.
Two of my favorite quotes:
“I’ve been thinking about what you said,” Lemon declared. “About whether your past makes you what you are. That’s all our memories are, right? The pieces of our yesterdays that make us who we are today?”
Eve thought about it for a while, finally nodded. “Sounds right.”
“So you’ve had some bad days, no doubt,” Lemon said. “But I figure, instead of letting your yesterdays bring you down, maybe you can concentrate on building some happier memories today. And that way you’ll have them for tomorrow?”
“She doesn’t want our help, Dimples.”
“We can’t just leave her in there alone, Freckles. You know that.”
“We lied to her. She hates us now.”
“It’s simple to love someone on the days that are easy. But you find out what your love is made of on the days that are hard.”
I really, really want to read Lifel1k3. I love the cover and have to get this one!
Great Choice, Sophie! Lemon Fresh was an amazing character! She’s also my best female secondary character! 🙂
