Today is day 8 in Blogmas and we are talking about plot twist!
I love when something totally unexpected happens and leaves me with my jaw hanging on the floor!
That can be at the end of the book or to veer the story off course in the middle of the book!
I have two winners for you:

I fell right away into the story, even if it dragged somehow after the novelty of discovering what her life in the prison was wore out. But then as a plague affected the inmates, as the trials loomed on the horizon and as the relationship with the new inmate and the new guard unfurled, the story kicked in again until…a very unexpected big reveal.
I was gobsmacked and don’t know who Kiva is anymore as a person.
I had guessed some things but certainly not that! Not these last words!
This was brilliant!

The plot twist happened in the middle of the book and..a huge one at the end!
In this sequel, you get an amazing world building, unique magic system, budding friendship, acts of heroism, snark and wits and flawed but very loveable main and side characters.
Also that …that…inhuman cliffy!!!
I hope that Mrs Novik is a fast writer because I need that sequel. And I need it to go the way I hope/pray. Else I’ll go bribe some sorcerer to jinx Naomi’s wardrobe and have her only find mismatched socks to wear
Also, some special mentions to:
Thanks for reading!
Sophie

The Prison Healer is HIGH on my tbr!! I’m scared for the cliffie of the second book, though.
Genesis @ Whispering Chapters
Everyone is talking about the twists in The Last Graduate!
And rightly so Tammy!
I feel like big plot twists are found more in fantasy and since I read contemporary almost exclusively I’d have a hard time coming up with a good plot twist!
Fantasy or mysteries and thrillers too Tanya!
Because of the kind of books I read, I am not even sure I could come up with a book for this prompt, but that’s great you found some, and look at The Last Graduate with two big twists.
I’ll have to read The Prison Healer!
Yes you do Stephanie!
The Prison Healer defo has the best plot twist!!!!
Right???
I haven’t read any of these yet, but they’re on my tbr. I can’t wait to get to them! I think my favorite plot twist this year was The Things We Leave Unfinished, I didn’t even see that coming.
Oooh me neither Jen!
