Facebook Follower in the Spotlight: Michelle Chen

Today’s challenge is best Audio book of 2017 AND I chose to put one my FB followers in the spotlight!

Why?

First because Michelle has been commenting for weeks now on my FB page and I loved it!

Commenting and chatting is the goal for bloggers. Sure I can post news on books, sales, reviews and leave it. But without YOU interacting it’s a lonely task. I feel like shouting in a desert a without even an echo. You all know it bloggers on WordPress, Bloglovin, Facebook, etc.: reading your comments is the boost I need to get going and Michelle has done a fantastic job at giving my daily fix on Facebook 😉

Facebook is another “beast” entirely for bloggers as often the comments are fewer than on WordPress. Why? Probably because on WP we are among bloggers whereas on FB we have most of our followers “non-bloggers”. Are they shy? Busy? Something else? I don’t know really maybe you can enlighten me LOL

Second because I have NEVER listened to an audiobook so far. Voted for best voices, etc. yes but listened to a whole book never. I guess I would have to concentrate on the book so NO driving while listening, NO cooking (Oh sorry I wanted to add sugar not salt!). I should only sit and listen but honestly it would feel weird.

So what did I do? Called Michelle for help!

She recommended a book that she has read and adored while one of her friends has just declared “the best audiobook ever!”. Sorry I can’t credit the mysterious friend as Michelle keeps it under wrap LOL  Michelle, if she agrees to do the her “coming out” just shoot!

So Michelle’s recommendation is Something in the Way by Jessica Hawkins

You can read Michelle’s review on GR here -> https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/1924334103?book_show_action=false&from_review_page=1

Here is some of what she wrote:

“The dialogue really highlights the personalities of all of the characters and certain scenes give so many strong feels of angst, tension, wistfulness, hard reality and the unfairness of life. And that ending! Because what do you do when you find the one you are meant to be with early in life and it’s just not your time to be together yet for so many reasons? I can already tell that this series is going to put me through the wringer, but I welcome it because the writing is brilliant and the characters are so vivid. This will definitely be a top favorite series of mine.”

Thank you Michelle I owe you!
