Hi friends!
We are nearly halfway through Blogmas 2019 and today is about my favorite romance author!
Beware Of The Reader being a mostly romance blog I have many favorites!
I would like to mention:
Beth Flynn, author of Nine Minutes trilogy and such a charming and sweet person!
Amy Harmon already my yesterday winner;
Leylah Attar who won the best indie author too;
Tracey Garvis Graves, recently discovered through The Girl He Used to Know;
Brittainy C Cherry who made me cry with Landon & Shay;
Kate Stewart who can write romcom like The Guy on the Right or heartwrenching romances like Method;
Pepper Winters who writes sweet sometimes but excels at dark;
Helen Hoang who stole my heart with her characters in The Kiss Quotient and The Bride Test.
But my winner today is one author that I love and follow for years now: Emma Scott!
She has a beautiful writing, one that makes me swoon and cry every single time! She writes original stories like A Five Minute Life and this year, she wrote her first M/M “Someday, Someday”.
Few of you know that Emma wrote a fantastic Fantasy under the pen name of E.S. Bell : The Dark of the Moon! She knows that I will read the sequel with great pleasure πΒ
But Emma is not only a talented writer. She is one of the most generous persons that I know. All her family, Bill, Talia and Izzy are incredible! And yes I speak of Izzy at present time because she continues to inspire many of us, with some random acts of kindness to honor her memory. So I dare say that Izzy is still alive in our hearts and souls.
Here are some of my favorite quotes:
βYou deserve to be loved as you are, Darlene. Not in bits and pieces.β
β Forever Right Now
Who is your favorite romance author of 2019?
Thanks for reading!
This is such a fabulous list! I haven’t read Helen Hoang yet and I just saw an author I love rave about her books too. I’m hoping to pick one of them up in January *fingers crossed*.
Great list of ladies Sophie! β€οΈ
Blogmas is fun. π
Yes!!!
On Your list I have only read Helen Hoang….but I haven’t tried out Emma Scott. But now that I know she is your favorite….which book of hers would you recommend I try out first?
Renee if you are not afraid to cry I’d begin with her Full Tilt duology. If you love single parents stories with incredible characters I’d go with Forever Right Now. If you like secret, brooding heroes and a Cyrano de Bergerac story arc I’d go with the Beautiful Hearts duet. And if you want to read M/M I’d gor for Someday, Someday!
I need to still read Someday, someday. Itβs at the top of my tbr. Probably one of the first reads of 2020!
And then….we’ll talk! π
How do you choose! So many great authors up there. I have definitely enjoyed all the Emma Scott books I have read. She does those super emotional stories really well.
Well choosing is the hard part Sam! π
I’m reading Someday, Someday now and it’s crushing me! It’s hard to imagine how narrow-minded parents can be and what they’ll do to ‘fix’ their children π
Exactly Jacquie!!! You have no idea how mad I was!!!
So agree!
Yessss!
