OK day 11 at BookBoyfriendChallenge and the topic of the day European made me realize some shocking truth: nearly every book that I read happens in the US, YA or adult fantasy aside!

What the heck????

So finding the perfect European Book Boyfriend has been a challenge but I did it! I found my precious!

Ladies and Gents meet Lachlan McGregor from The Play by Karina Halle!

As the synopsis is saying he is “A troubled Scottish rugby player who doesn’t play by the rules. A vivacious man-eater who’s given up on love. “

And it goes on with : “Hot Scot Lachlan McGregor. Lachlan is her sexual fantasy come to life – tall, tatted, and built like a Mack truck. With a steely gaze and successful rugby career back in Edinburgh, he’s the kind of man that makes her want to throw her vow right out the window. But Lachlan’s quiet and intense demeanor makes him a hard man to get to know, let alone get close to. “

So do you think he would fit the bill?

Ok now here is what I wrote about this book and delicious piece of a meal hermmm man 😀

About little Lachlan:

I read the prologue, it was about little Lachlan on his five years old birthday and I read this :

“The man gave him the lion, and he held on to him with all his might, until the fur was wet with tears. His fifth birthday was the last one he would celebrate for a very long time. Lachlan would never see his mother again. He would never go home. And the flood in his soul would never truly subside”.

I WAS A GONER! Done, finished, I could not stop crying, imagining poor little Lachlan abandoned by his mother.

Perfect on the outside, Lachlan is :

“Tall, broody, mysterious. He is a hot male muscled and tatted. Lachlan was very remote in the beginning, indifferent but Kayla also opened up his heart. He was afraid to love, to bond with someone but with Kayla, he let it go. He had so many demons. He could be strong and steady one moment and then become riddled by guilt and self-loath or burst in a fit of anger and fight with his fists.

I loved that story whereas Karina Halle’s stories are usually a hit or miss with me.
