Paranormal
Yay the topic of the day is once again a huge favorite of mine! Paranormal as in vampires, werewolves, fairies etc.
So here below you’ll find all my favorite couples in PNR for YA and Adult.
Cut me some slack as I will choose one winner for YA and one winner for Adult. The more the merrier (sorry it’s Christmas coming) 😉
And yes I know I could have featured Bella and Zsadist but I wanted to introduce you to other books. Don’t hate me please 😉
In Young Adult PNR:
#Lucas and #Kylie in Shadow Fall series by C.C. Hunter
Definitely some favorite of mine and favorite series with humor, suspense, love, angst, mystery…
Synopsis
One night Kylie Galen finds herself at the wrong party, with the wrong people, and it changes her life forever. Her mother ships her off to Shadow Falls—a camp for troubled teens, and within hours of arriving, it becomes painfully clear that her fellow campers aren’t just “troubled.” Here at Shadow Falls, vampires, werewolves, shapeshifters, witches and fairies train side by side—learning to harness their powers, control their magic and live in the normal world.
Kylie’s never felt normal, but surely she doesn’t belong here with a bunch of paranormal freaks either. Or does she? They insist Kylie is one of them, and that she was brought here for a reason. As if life wasn’t complicated enough, enter Derek and Lucas. Derek’s a half-fae who’s determined to be her boyfriend, and Lucas is a smokin’ hot werewolf with whom Kylie shares a secret past. Both Derek and Lucas couldn’t be more different, but they both have a powerful hold on her heart.
Even though Kylie feels deeply uncertain about everything, one thing is becoming painfully clear—Shadow Falls is exactly where she belongs…

#Penryn and #Raffe in Angelfall series by Susan Ee
Penryn has spunk and Raffe is a handsome arrogant Angel.
Here is what I wrote about them:
“Penryn, the seventeen year old girl who fights for her family and battle with abominations. She is like a modern Joan of Arc: unassuming but a hero nonetheless. Penryn has a warrior heart and has learned to wield an angel sword. To wield an angel sword, you must be deemed worthy by said sword as they have some memories and a life of their own. Needless to say the sword was not happy to be named Pooky Bear by Penryn…
Raffe, torn between his conviction and his heart between his duty and his desire to protect and care for Penryn. He is a badass archangel, hot, loyal with an iron will and a great moral compass. Always exposing himself to protect those he cares for. I cursed his self-control when things got heated with Penryn (yes, we have some hot scenes between the lovebirds, but always suited for teens). Noooo, he stopped! Damn virtuous archangel! »
Favorite quote:
“I have better things to do.”
“Like what?”
He opens one eye and looks at me. “Like convince a stubborn girl to admit she’s madly in love with me.”
#Jessica and #Lucius in Jessica’s Guide to Dating on the Dark Side by Beth Fantaskey
I don’t know how many of you know this book but it is a REALLY good YA PNR. Lucius is handsome, arrogant but charming. Jessica is feiry and spunky.
Synopsis:
The undead can really screw up your senior year …
Marrying a vampire definitely doesn’t fit into Jessica Packwood’s senior year “get-a-life” plan. But then a bizarre (and incredibly hot) new exchange student named Lucius Vladescu shows up, claiming that Jessica is a Romanian vampire princess by birth—and he’s her long-lost fiancé. Armed with newfound confidence and a copy of Growing Up Undead: A Teen Vampire’s Guide to Dating, Health, and Emotions, Jessica makes a dramatic transition from average American teenager to glam European vampire princess. But when a devious cheerleader sets her sights on Lucius, Jess finds herself fighting to win back her wayward prince, stop a global vampire war—and save Lucius’s soul from eternal destruction.
Favorite quote:
“American women. Why do you all want to be nearly invisible? Why not have a physical presence in the world? Women should have curves, not angles. …One should never confuse fashionable with beautiful. …Eat. Be happy to have curves. A presence.”
#Shay and #Kellan in Evil by Tijan
One of her books that’s underrated in my opinion.
Here is an excerpt of what I wrote:
“You’ll have a hot protective and commanding male (that’s Tijan we’re speaking of, even in Other Tijan’s clothes), a heroine feeling “different” than the rest of her family and friends and many conflicts, betrayals and battles. Unexpected and unbreakable love from people who should be enemies is also on the menu. My only complaint was the plot was so complex some people had many hidden agenda and I was sometimes confused about everyone’s motives or true nature.”
Favorite quote:
“You love so hard and hate so cold.”
And my YA winners are …
#Dimitri and #Rose in Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead
Synopsis
ONLY A TRUE BEST FRIEND CAN PROTECT YOU FROM YOUR IMMORTAL ENEMIES…
Lissa Dragomir is a Moroi princess: a mortal vampire with a rare gift for harnessing the earth’s magic. She must be protected at all times from Strigoi; the fiercest vampires—the ones who never die. The powerful blend of human and vampire blood that flows through Rose Hathaway, Lissa’s best friend, makes her a dhampir. Rose is dedicated to a dangerous life of protecting Lissa from the Strigoi, who are hell-bent on making Lissa one of them.
After two years of freedom, Rose and Lissa are caught and dragged back to St. Vladimir’s Academy, a school for vampire royalty and their guardians-to-be, hidden in the deep forests of Montana. But inside the iron gates, life is even more fraught with danger…and the Strigoi are always close by.
Rose and Lissa must navigate their dangerous world, confront the temptations of forbidden love, and never once let their guard down, lest the evil undead make Lissa one of them forever…

Adult PNR
#Lily and #Ezra in King Hall series by Scarlett Dawn
Excerpt of what I wrote in the second book of the series:
“Once Lily and Ezra act on their attraction (and save me from my misery) the fireworks really start! The first sex scene is unbelievably hot, steamy hot. But they get careless, overcome by their emotions, their instinct to protect and claim what’s theirs. They play with fire and live one of the worst taboo of their culture.
After the bliss, comes a profound loss. I had tears all along and used many tissues. It was so unfair! »
Favorite quote :
“It’s the beauty that helps us return from the harshness. If it wasn’t there, we would have nothing to live for.”
#Sam and #Jared in the Deep in your Veins series by Suzanne Wright
I love how they fought to be the best ans how Sam kicked Jared’s behind more often than not!
Excerpt of what I wrote:
“The author rocked my world with all the plots, ordeals and interesting new characters. The story does not evolve only around Sam and Jared but has reached its own life and other heroes will come forth.
A truly great reading I recommend for fans of badass heroine leading male squads with challenges sprinkled all along her path. And let’s not forget the drool sticked to my Kindle, courtesy of Jared’s hotness!”

#Feyre and #Rhysand in ACOTAR (no it’s NOT YA with the sex scenes in this stories!) by Sarah J Maas
Synopsis
Feyre’s survival rests upon her ability to hunt and kill – the forest where she lives is a cold, bleak place in the long winter months. So when she spots a deer in the forest being pursued by a wolf, she cannot resist fighting it for the flesh. But to do so, she must kill the predator and killing something so precious comes at a price …
Dragged to a magical kingdom for the murder of a faerie, Feyre discovers that her captor, his face obscured by a jewelled mask, is hiding far more than his piercing green eyes would suggest. Feyre’s presence at the court is closely guarded, and as she begins to learn why, her feelings for him turn from hostility to passion and the faerie lands become an even more dangerous place. Feyre must fight to break an ancient curse, or she will lose him forever.
Favorite quote:
“Rhysand stared at me for long enough that I faced him.
“Be glad of your human heart, Feyre. Pity those who don’t feel anything at all.”
And my adult PNR winners are:
#Aria and #Braith in The Captive series by Erica Steven
There was something so enthralling in this series!
Synopsis
Captured, taken from her beloved family and woods, Aria’s biggest fear is not the imminent death facing her, but that she will be chosen as a blood slave for a member of the ruling vampire race. No matter what becomes of her though, Aria knows that she must keep her identity hidden from the monsters imprisoning her. She has already been branded a member of the rebellion, but the vampires do not know the true depth of her involvement with it, and they must never know.
Though hoping for death, Aria’s world is turned upside down when a vampire named Braith steps forward to claim her. He delays her execution, but Aria knows it’s only a matter of time before he drains her, and destroys her. Especially once she learns his true identity as a prince within the royal family; the same royal family that started the war that ultimately brought down humankind, reducing them to nothing more than servants and slaves.
Aria is determined to hate the prince, determined not to give into him in anyway, but his strange kindness, and surprising gentleness astonish her. Torn between her loyalties to the rebellion, and her growing love for her greatest enemy, Aria struggles to decide between everything she has ever known, and a love she never dreamed of finding.

“He was starting to realize that to always look but never truly be able to touch, was a special kind of torment.”
