And can I just say how frustrating it is that we can’t quote from uncorrected proofs? Because I highlighted so many passages. There are lines in this book that stick with you — small, quiet truths about resilience and joy. Whoever says romance novels are “just fluff” clearly hasn’t met Jackson and Delilah.

Their story reminded me how you can make lemonade when life keeps tossing lemons your way. How small acts — like brightening someone else’s day — can be the bravest thing you do.
