Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
This week’s TTT topic is: Bookish people I’d like to meet.
I chose to talk about authors today.
I have been lucky enough to meet authors and even to assist some thanks to RARE London and Paris but also YALC London!
Here were my favorite meets!
Suanne Laqueur! She is an amazing indie author and we chatted so much at RARE!

Amy Harmon! She is as sweet and beautiful as the books she writes! We talked for some time too!

Emma Scott. She gives the best hugs and was so thoughtful to have brought me gifts when I met her! She is such a warm and generous person, it was a delight to meet and assist her!

Mariana Zapata. At RARE Paris I assisted an author seated next to her table and ended up assisting Mariana too! We had lunch together and talked dogs and loving silence and several stories that we both love.

Cassandra Clare. I was lucky to spend some minutes having Q&A and a photo shoot with Cassandra at YALC London in July. She is really so happy to meet her readers and a true sweetheart.

Margaret Rogerson. This was one of my favorite moments because I had a lot of time to talk with her and have some of mini interview with her. She is very young and very very sweet!

I met lots of other authors like Gayle Forman, Renee Adieh, Katherine Webber, Alice Oseman, Brigid Kemmerer, Tillie Cole, Jennifer L Armentrout… all very kind.
Now what author would I still very much to meet?
Jay Kristoff! I bet he is sarcastic and one of a kind!

TJ Klune. He seems like the sweetest guy ever!

Sarah J Maas because I am in awe of her stories!

Leylah Attar. Because she is generous with her readers and bloggers, because she has an exquisite writing and because she is so mysterious!

And of course I’d love to meet many other authors like Jewel E Ann, Brittainy C Cherry, Kennedy Ryan, RF Kuang, Julia Whelan, Lucy Score….
Thanks for reading!
Sophie

So cool that you got to meet so many amazing authors already Sophie! I hope you’ll get to meet more of them soon. I’d love to meet TJ Klune too 🙂
Maybe he’d come to Belgium? One can always dream LOL
You’ve met some great authors! I try to get to as many author/book events as I can (though not always easy living in a rural location).
I try too but that’s not easy as I read everything in English so I have to travel abroad to meet authors!
Cassandra Clare was so nice when I met her! ^_^
Absolutely!
I didn’t meet Clare, but saw her on a couple of panels and she was wonderful. Klune is amazing. You can tell he genuinely loves meeting readers. And I’d love to meet Kristoff.
Meeting these is one of my goals!
I’ve actually met Jay Kristoff and the dude is sooooo tall! 😛
I think I’d feel sooo tiny 😀
I’d love to sit down and talk to Amy Harmon! I am always in awe of her writing.
She is really a warm person!
I would love to meet Jay Kristoff too!
I think I would feel so small compared to his huge frame Tammy!
Margaret Rogerson, Cassandra Clare and Jay Kristoff = 100 times yes!!!!
Right???
It’s cool that you’ve met so many of your favorite writers. Were you tongue-tied? lol
No! On the contrary! I had not enough time to chat with them LOL
I have met SJM, Jay Kristoff, and Cassandra Clare. When we were at the CoHF event, we had a copy autographed for a blog give away, and CC recognized the blog name as a nod to her “We live and breathe words”, and she was touched. It was very neat.
That’s an amazing anecdote Sam!
I would love to meet Harmon and Scott! So cool! I have met Zapata and she was sweet.
Mariana is very sweet indeed!
