Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
Today’s theme is: animal companions.
I confess that I hit a blank at the beginning and had to open my “read” list on Goodreads to revive my memory! But I ended up with more than ten books! And these are all favorites!

I’m surprised to see how many animal companions are in fantasy books.
It seems to be a common occurence indeed!
I liked that you didn’t go with all “real world” animal companions because when I saw Skyward of course I was cheering for the space slugs!

THE ART OF RACING IN THE RAIN is the only book I’ve read from your list. It’s been a few years since I read it, but I remember liking it.

I love The Art of Racing in the Rain! Also those Brandon Sanderson books are on my tbr for some point in the future, but I’ll be reading the Stormlight Archives first.

I didn’t know many of these had companion animals! Ive got the storm crow but haven’t read it yet ♀️
It’s good and also focuses on depression which is unusual in fantasy reads.
I didn’t even realise most of this HAD animal companions!

I went with unique animal encounters, only because those were memorable, LOL! Lists get hard the older I get!
