Dear friends,
I want to apologize today as I won’t comment and like your posts this Friday. I promise to catch up tomorrow with your incredible posts, First Line Friday included but today I WANT TO READ!!!!
I’m engrossed in my pre-ARC of In Harmony by Emma Scott and I just don’t want to stop but binge read.
So I hope you’ll forgive me and I promise to answer all your comments and comment aplenty tomorrow on your blogs. I love reading all that you post but today is my reading date.
Back to First Line Friday
First Line Friday is a weekly event hosted by Hoarding Books.
Itβs really easy all you have to do is open the book that you are reading or the first book you get your hands on, open it and write the first lines.
It would be fantastic of course if you could visit the other participants and comment on their posts. Comments are bloggerβs currency LOL
Here are my lines from of course In Harmony:
“Tell me a story.” Grandma smiled through a mess of wrinkles and brushed a lock of wavy blonde hair off my brow. “Another? Three books weren’t enough?”
“Not a book story. One of your stories.”
The grandma will tell a tale about aΒ Little Light. She was born on the wick of a tall white candle. She lived among thousands other flames. One day all the other flames were stuffed out. The Little Light was alone in the dark. For a long time.
She was alone long anough “to discover that she may have been one light among many, but she had her own fire.”
Today dear friends I want you to find your own fire.
Happy Friday and thank you for following and commenting so often. It warms my heart every time.
What are you first lines? Leave them in the comments and I promise to reply and comment within 12 hours.
Sophie
I hope you enjoyed your binge read! That’s what I am doing today!
My first lines come from Traded by Tess Thompson:
βThe came for her on a Sunday. It was third quarter with two minutes left on the clock in a savage battle between football rivals San Francisco Sharks and Kansas City Rockets when the sounds that would change her life forever broke through the ordinary chirps of the television announcers.β

Oh yes I did janine! I hope to post the review tomorrow.
Enjoy the arc, Sophie! xx
I did Astrid so much! I hope to post a review tomorrow evening π
I don’t think book bloggers are ever going to judge you for wanting to read. Isn’t that the entire point?
I’ve got the first line from The Saturday Night Supper club up on my blog, and I’m currently reading another great contemporary romance – Paper Hearts by Courtney Walsh. She’s one of my new favourite authors. Here’s the first line:
“I can’t believe she did this to me again.” Abigail Pressman stared at the computer screen in disbelief.
Yes I know this Iola but I love commenting and when I’m not doing it I don’t feel so good π
Have fun reading Sophie! I can’t wait to read this one myself!!
I know you will ove it Trisy!!
Hope you are enjoying your current read darling!!! I love first lines, and your choice is fantastic!! I love seeing characters that are story driven.
Happy Friday
Thank you!!! Happy weekend by now π
Happy Friday! My first line is from Forward to What Lies Ahead by Chloe S. Flanagan:
“Regina’s cellphone buzzed sharply, shattering the silence of her apartment and making her coffee table vibrate.”
Oh these lines seems intriguing. Who is calling her? Happy weekend by now.
