First Line Fridays is a weekly meme hosted by Hoarding Books.
It’s really easy to participate (why do you think I’m doing this duh! 😉 ) all you have to do is take the book you are currently reading and type the first lines. This is my second Friday and I hope to make it a daily occurence!
Today the lines I’ve chosen come from Undefeated by Stuart Reardon and Jane Harvey-Berrick
“It’s a beautiful game. It’s a hard game. And even on good day your body is battered and bruised. It’s a brutal game with blood, mud and dirt.”
What are the first lines of your current book? Leave them in a comment below I’m curious like that!
Happy Friday!
Sophie
Enjoy your weekend, darling!
I’ve heard great things about Jane Harvey-Berrick’s books. Need to check out this book. Thanks for sharing. ❤️
You are welcome Geybie and thank you!
This sounds good!! It’s on my TBR…!
Happy reading then Trisy! 😉
Ooh! Now that’s quite the hook!
Oh yes Kim! Really good 😉 and surprising.

Thank you Heather!!
Impressive cover! I’m diving into Missing Isaac by Valerie Fraser Luesse today after I tackle blog comments and a review!
A sleepy purple twilight wrapped around the farmhouse, its tall windows glowing with warmth from somewhere inside.
Hahaha I know the cover is impressive indeed! Happy Friday Beth!
Happy Friday!
My First Line Friday comes from a book I will be reading later this month, The Upside of Falling Down by Rebekah Crane….
I was born twice. The first time was on July 9 to Paul and Mimi Haas in Cleveland, Ohio. My mother died six years later.
Have a great weekend and stay warm!
Thank you Susan and you too!
