Today is Sunday time to look back in the rearview mirror and talk about my week . I am linking up to the Sunday Post hosted for years by Kimberly@caffeinatedreviewer .

In my private life

Happy Sunday!

This week I worked only two days because of national holiday here!

As it was finally sunny I could garden, weed the paths around the house and I felt so accomplished LOL

I also booked a hotel in Paris to attend RARE in April 2024 and I asked my mom to join me! She won’t attend RARE but rather discover Paris that day but we should still be able to enjoy a nice city trip! And she was delighted to have projects.

And this weekend, I decided to go back to making funko pops!

I love painting edges these days and I only make funko pop for characters that truly inspire me and… Violet Sorengail from Fourth Wing ticked all the boxes!

I even made Tairn, one of her dragons! Now people are asking me to make Xaden Riorson so, off finding the best pop for him!

I made several reels on Instagram this week, one of them inspired by Red, White and Royal Blue and the famous “cake scene”.

For those who love the Green Creek series by TJ Klune, I have now painted Ravensong’s edges!

And now, for my CANADIANS and FRENCH reading followers, I have a book for you. I was contacted some weeks ago by a young author, Dana Pensina who is living in Canada and she offered me her book. She has found a publishing house but she wanted to ask for influencer’s help (it seems that I am considered one now LOL).

I don’t usually accept ARCs or finished copies of books I didn’t ask for but… I wanted to help her. She was very kind, I love the cover and that seems a cute story.

I haven’t read it yet but if you are curious, I made a reel LOL.

And if you want to help her, be my guest in reposting.

I told you I had a lot to catch up with, many reviews to write! Well, this week I posted three reviews and you’ll have at least three more next week!

All great books and one that made me bawl like a baby! I’d love to get the paperback of When Elephants Fly by as it’s an older book I can’t find it anywhere! But if you love EMOTIONAL books, PLEASE READ IT!

The Henna Artist by Alka Joshi is a FANTASTIC trilogy! I breezed through all three audiobooks in one week!

And finally, Ink Blood Sister Scribe is a unique urban fantasy. It’s a first work that doesn’t feel like a first work at all. It is very impressive that the author was able to produce such a complex book as a first published copy!

Thanks for reading!

Sophie

  1. I love the wedding cake/tbr reel – funny and apt:)). And your edge painting is fabulous – I’ve the artistic ability of a door knob, so your talent leaves in me awe… Have a great week, Sophie.

  2. Very exciting to go to RARE in 2024! Paris is such a beautiful city I can see why your mom chooses to explore. It feels good to get the garden all tidied up! Have a great week, Sophie! 🙂

  3. It’s nice the good weather coincided with your days off. It’s great to get things done that you don’t always have time for. Way to book RARE, and I am sure it will be a lovely trip for you and your mother. Fun reel! I bet most of us have TBRs that will bury us.
