Today is Sunday time to look back in the rearview mirror and talk about my week . I am linking up to the Sunday Post hosted for years by Kimberly@caffeinatedreviewer .

In my private life

Happy Sunday,

Last Sunday I told you about one of my best friend’s death. And this week has been weird. I feel better and yet sometimes tears will surprise me. I guess I need time to grieve.

On a totally other topic, yesterday my kids and husband invited me and our mothers for a day of visit and shopping combined with a restaurant. All that to celebrate mother’s day.

My mother in law is a fierce reader but has few bookshops where she lives. So we went to a big bookshop and she left with 160 EUR worth of books after I recommended some of my favorites!

My husband paid for everything and she is now the (hopefully) happy owner of:

-Empire of the Vampire;

-The City of Brass;

-Emily Wilde’s Encyclopaedia of Faeries;

-As Long as the Lemon Trees Grow;

-The Prison Healer;

-The Luminaries.

We had a really great time, like a mini vacation as the sun was out too!

As usual, I am leaving you with some reels as I am determined to honor my friend and live to the fullest!

The first one is about not touching my books!

The second is about how authors feel when they plot the demise of favorite characters. And I look more ridiculous than evil but…oh well!

And the last is about what I think when people tell me they don’t like books and don’t understand why I read so much.

On the blog this week (click on the graphic to read the post)

I posted two reviews this week, all planned because my head was not into blogging. Sorry I hope to do better!

The first is an historical fiction about Butch Cassidy that I truly loved!

And the second is an excellent YA thriller.

Thanks for reading!

    I’m also so very sorry about your friend. Grieving definitely takes time, so don’t feel bad about taking all the time you need.
