Audiobook Review

5 stars… again.

This is without a doubt one of my favorite fantasy series!
Wolfsong was my first MM book and I couldn’t have made a better choice! It was heartfelt, poetic, beautiful and intense.

Heartsong is the third book of the Green Creek series and they must be read in order! No interconnected standalones here but a family saga of werewolves, witches, humans and pack.

Heartsong is about Robbie Fontaine.
We discovered sweet Robbie, wearing glasses when he didn’t need them in the other books. With a sunny personality, a little bit shy and sweet, he won my heart over.
That’s why it hurt so much to read what had been done to him in Heartsong! How he had been duped and betrayed. What has been stolen from that kind man and from the Bennett pack as well!

I won’t go into details about the plot as I don’t want to spoil anything for you but know that:
-Robbie will suffer a lot, emotionally and sometimes physically;
-bonds will be tested and it will be hard for him to sort through friends or foes;
-sometimes magic is not enough and you need a martyr;
-it must be the darkest book of the series so far as TJ Klune used some killers that made it very hard to read about;
-Ox is still amazing, and Alpha Jesus (I laughed hard at that one);
-you have humor but less than in Ravensong (read about “the darkest book of the series”);
-Robbie’s childhood broke my heart too and I just wanted to hug him extra-hard;
-the Bennett pack might be an odd mix of werewolves, witches and humans but it’s still the most extraordinary and caring pack;
-I need the last book now!

I feared, I cried, I bit all my nails, I gasped, I laughed and I swooned too.
