The heat this week has been relentless. We had over 30 degrees celsius! In May that’s definitely not normal and it was taxing for us and for the puppies.
I could only walk them very early or very late.
Now for two nights in a row we got thunderstorms and some regions have been flooded. The air is more breathable but some paid a big price for that! Cars floating on roads, cellars drowned…
I guess it’s climate change for you.
That aside it has been work as usual, just a little more stressing yet ineteresting.
Sometimes our managers are clumsy with their communication and I had to reassure new colleagues not to take it personally. I gues after working more than thirty years I can take some distance and not be as affected.
What made me happy though was getting a Whatsapp message from said colleague thanking me for listening. That was lovely!
Last news: I am still not over Pursuit of Jade and I also have discovered the crazy world of fans in China! That level is insane and the celebrities are hounded! Yes I love the show and yes I admire the actors but I would never stalk them…
Talking about the show, I made a reel about it and it exploded! Not millions of views but way more than my usual!

I’ve been getting weather news updates that a record breaking El Nino may be developing this year so unfortunately we can all be expecting more extreme weather, ugh! Stay safe!

Hope you get some relief from the heat, Sophie. I say inside with the A/C when temps get to a certain level. I’m definitely not a fan of hot weather.
We don’t have A/C here Teri. It’s only beginning in some houses but I can’t stand it or I get migraines

Oh wow im happy we got ONE really hot day and not a week. We went back to freezing afterward really no idea how to dress anymore; one day it’s pretty at 14 degrees and the next it’s frosting..
We had some weird weather here in Northern California last week. It was cold and rainy. Usually by this time of year we’re in high 70s or 80s. We’re back to normal with low 80s this next week. Yes, that means if I go walking or running it has to be early or late. Poor puppies with the heat! My cats love it, but they lounge in the shade outside when it’s hot. I loved We All Live Here, too! I hope you get some cooler weather. We are headed back to hot later this week. We have been walking right before dinner because of the heat and UV index.

I’m not a fan of the heat either, but that is summer for us. We’ve been getting a bit of rain this past week which is good because we needed it. I’ll have to see about Pursuit of Jade, I’ve not done any K-dramas really. Hope you have a good week!
