Today is Sunday time to look back in the rearview mirror and talk about my week . I am linking up to the Sunday Post hosted for years by Kimberly@caffeinatedreviewer .

In my private life

This week has been exhausting at work and that’s why I haven’t blog hopped a lot and why I have many comments to reply to!

I’ll do it asap I swear!

When I say exhausting, it was because I had to teach people for two whole days and remotely at that!
I love training people and do it from time to time but giving two “classes” of three hours on the same day and remotely was exhausting!

Honestly I already respected teachers but here I realized how HARD it must have been to teach remotely!

Between technical problems for some and using just your voice, and not your presence in a room, to keep your audience captive is a lot more work!
But in the end, when we asked them for feedback on their training, they unanymously gave me the highest praise so, all my efforts were not in vain!

Go me LOL

Thats aside, my weekend did not fare better with a visit early this morning to the vet ER as my dog has woken me more than six times every night since Friday. And she doesn’t eat either poor puppy.
It seems she has an indigestion or a stomach bug but if she does not get better by tomorrow evening, it will be another visit and more exams…

And when I came back from the vet, it was time to prepare the table to celebrate our mothers today. Never a dull moment this week!

So HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!

I wrote two reviews and also posted about my quarterly update on the audiobook challenge!

Thanks for reading!

  1. I can’t imagine how difficult it is for teachers to hold classes remotely. Hats off to them – and you also, Sophie. Sure hope your puppy starts feeling better!

  2. Happy Mother’s Day. I used to do training and sometimes I would be hoarse at the end of the day from projecting my voice and talking so much. Maybe not drinking enough either.

  3. I thank my lucky stars that I was not longer a teacher when the pandemic hit. I knew from my sister that the remote format was really challenging. You did it, though. Good job! I hope your pup is ok.

  4. Oh, yes, training others is exhausting. That used to be part of my job, too, but I have been retired for a few years. Sometimes those activities fill my dream life, though, which is interesting…and exhausting again!

    Enjoy your week.

  5. Nice to hear you nailed the remote teaching! Hope your dog feels better. I’ll have to check out the Marissa Meyer books. Happy Mother’s day, Sophie!

  6. Happy Mother’s Day! Hope you have a great one. And training at work is never fun. One of my least favorite things to do… 🙂

  7. I hope your dog is ok and it’s nothing serious. We have had an emergency vet visit and a follow up visit in just over a week. I know how hard it is when something is wrong and you don’t know what it is.
