Today is Sunday time to look back in the rearview mirror and talk about my week . I am linking up to the Sunday Post hosted for years by Kimberly@caffeinatedreviewer .Â
In my private life
Happy Sunday!
I have three weeks off work!!!
And the first thing I did yesterday was sleep for 10 hours! It never happens to me. But that’s precisely the reason why, since decades now, I take three weeks off in November: because I am always tired and grumpy and slightly moody in November.
I just want to see daylightt, something nearly impossible when working with the short days.
I plan on cleaning the house and the garden and sort a lot of things in the house. I foresee many visits to the recycling center!
And of course, there is YALC in two weeks!
I was stressing because they planned railway strikes in November but they should stop on the day where I am meant to take the Eurostar! Fingers crossed!
That aside, the weather has been positively awful this week with lots of rain and clouds and it’s forecast to stay wet for the next week at least. Sigh….
As usual, I am leaving you with two reels this week.
The first is about Sorcery of Thorns because after my third read, I am still enamored with that book and I discover new details every time! This time, I realised how Margaret Rogerson’s writing is very vivid and whimsical, to the point that I couldn’t help seeing the story like a Disney movie!
And the second reel is another clothes transition that I wanted to try! I find filming these transitions so good and like creating magic! Expect more next week!

I published two reviews this week, two ARCs. Usually Penguin Random House International sent physical copies to international bloggers but recently they are just sending e-Galleys. But hey, we still get to read the book for free so that’s still a win!
Better Hate than Never by Chloe Liese was a 3 stars read for me.
Check & Mate by Ali Hazelwood met all my expectations and it’s another win from that author!
Thanks for reading!
Sophie

Yay on three weeks off! I totally relate in that the short days work on my mood too, so I think it’s a splendid idea to take time off in this period!
And it was needed!
Yay for some work VACAY! I am glad that you have some fun plans for it and hope you get lots of books read there and get some rest in. Have a wonderful week darling.
Thank you Renee!
Enjoy your time off! Sleeping in sounds soooo good, lol!
Sorcery of Thorns is still waiting on my Kindle, Sophie. Enjoy your time off!
I don’t despair for you to read it Teri!
Enjoy your time off, you deserve it! And I’ll cross my fingers for your train to be running when you need it
Thank you Tammy!
3 week off sounds lovely! I only get 3 weeks all year so I rarely can take more than 1 week at a time. I loved Check & Mate, too! I hope that you have a great week.
I know that we are privileged Carole!
Yay for having three weeks off from work. I hope you enjoy it and that the railway strike doesn’t impact your trip to YALC.
Thank you Suzanne!
It’s been raining here a lot too. But yay for three weeks! Woot! 🙂
Hurray! Enjoy your days off.
I hope your vacation is amazing. I am always jealous of how much time off European’s get. The last time I have three weeks was when I was a teacher (summer break). Fingers crossed the rail strike doesn’t interfere with your trip as well. Safe travels and enjoy your time off.
The videos are great – I particularly love the clothes one!! And what a lovely long time for a holiday:). No wonder you slept for such a long time! Have a great week.
Thank you!!!
You’re such a star Sophie. I could never want to do videos. Yay for time off and a trip to YALC. Exciting!
