Today is Sunday time to look back in the rearview mirror and talk about my week . I am linking up to the Sunday Post hosted for years by Kimberly@caffeinatedreviewer .

As it’s the first Sunday of June, I’ll also post a wrap-up for May’s reads .

In my private life

Happy Sunday!

It happened!

Yesterday afternoon I taught my first art class on how to paint book edges!

We had six “students” or rather participants and it was what I wanted: a small group to be able to follow properly and give advices.

After some introduction, I learned that one was an art teacher (not intimidating at all LOL) and four others had art training with two earning their lives from their art studies…

Compared to myself with no teaching degree nor having attended any art school save for two months more than thirty years ago it was daunting!

But all went really well!

We had a great time together, the spirit was cooperative and light. We smiled, laughed, chatted and … painted! All participants ended their day happy and satisfied! So that’s a win!

And I loved being among other art lovers!

The second class is nex Saturday but we are already talking or organizing a third one in September!

Here below are some pictures of the day and I also made a reel!

And here is the reel about that class.

May Wrap-Up
(click in the graphic to read the post)

In May I have read 12 books and some of them were big books! I found my favorite of the year or at least part of my three favorites so far!

Featured below are the five winners of this month!

Shanghai Immortal by A.Y Chao has vampires, demons and a sasshole heroine that I loved! Amazing debut!

Never a Hero by Vanessa Len was an amazing sequel of an amazing debut!

Happy Place by Emily Henry is the best second chance romance that I have read!

In the Lives of Puppets by TJ Klune is an amazing Pinocchio retelling mixed with AI and robot supremacy!

And my WINNER of the month, of the year maybe is…

Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros!!! I know I’ll reread it soon LOL

Thanks for reading!

Sophie

  5. Congratulations on the first class! It’s kind of flattering so many artistic people felt this was a worthy use of time. Looks like it was so much fun, and I have to say, what pretty spot you had for the class.

  6. Huge congratulations on the art class – I also loved the reel. The standard of artistry is amazing:)). And I’m delighted you loved Fourth Wing so much, as I’ve got it waiting in my audiobook library. I thought I’d start it during my birthday week (end of June) as a special treat just for me:)). Have a great week, Sophie
