Hi friends,

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

Today’s theme is :Books With Your Favourite Trope/Theme.

Well I don’t know you, but there are words in a synopsis that will have me drop everything to buy a book!
These are my favorite tropes or themes (I can never tell them apart) and my favorite books with them.

Oh and you’ll maybe get more than ten books today!

(Dark)Academia: I love imagining I could have gone to an elite academy with ruthless students and I’d have had to prove my worth…and triumph of course!

Single dad (I always fall for single dads, there is something swoony especially if he is big and muscled and gets all mushy with his kid!)

Found family or Crew
(I just love the idea of strangers finding each other and bond over drama to become thick as thieves! Or lost boy or girl who will finally find a warm family to have their back).

Thanks for reading!

Sophie

  1. Oh I have so many. Here are some of my favorites. Sustained by Emma Chase, Motorcycle Man and The Will by Kristen Ashley, Saving Grace by Julie Garwood, My Favorite Bride by Christina Dodd, Devil’s Lair by Anna Zaires (dark romance so check the triggers), Mackenzie’s Mountain by Linda Howard, A Chance at Love by Beverly Jenkins —-Just to name a few!!

  2. Ooooh what a fun prompt!! I love the tropes you chose too. I’m absolutely obsessed with dark academia but haven’t read Zodiac Academy or Crave yet so those two are definitely going on my list. Awesome post!
