Today is Sunday time to look back in the rearview mirror and talk about my week . I am linking up to the Sunday Post hosted for years by Kimberly@caffeinatedreviewer .Â
In my private life
Happy Sunday!
This workweek has been insane and I was so tired at the end of the days! That’s why I had little energy left to blog hop or answer comments.
I just want to read and paint right now. Not write reviews and that’s a shame because I have read some great books…
Also I realized that in 11 days I’ll be in London with my daughter!
So I am looking into the best walks in London, the best bookshops, museums etc.
If you have something to recommend, just shoot!
We already know that we’ll do last year’s walk from Little Venice to St James Park going to Primrose Hill.
We’ll also go to Richmond Park.
We have booked Les Misérables (best seats that cost me an arm and a leg).
We’ll also visit Cambridge and maybe Brighton! All while doing some shopping of course LOL
I realize that the more I am stressed by work, the more I need to create and paint. So yesterday I painted new edges and they might be my favorite so far!
Very challenging to because the female warrior was intricate and painting this on less than 3 cm was challenging! Sorry the picture is not very good and the lighting is bad but…

And as usual, I am sharing with you some of the reels I made last week…
Another book edges I painted….
On the blog this week (click on the graphic to read the post)
As I said I didn’t write many reviews. And I have yet two more reviews to write! Oops!
My Roommate is a Vampire is a cute romcom with a vampire who is a true cinnamon roll!
Farrell Covington and the Limits of Style is one of these books that deserves to be better known! If you are looking to read something for pride month, go for it!
That’s it! Now I’ll go play catch up with you all!
Sophie

Sounds likes a great trip planned with your daughter!
Yes even if the weather will be rainy LOL
I hope you and your daughter have a wonderful time in London!
Me too, even if it will rain LOL
How exciting to have the London trip to look forward to! And your latest painted edges are stunning!
Thank you Tanya!
Beautiful edges, Sophie. I know you’ll have a fantastic time in London!
Thank you Teri!
I always love seeing your painted edges Your trip to see your daughter sounds like fun, I hope you get lots of good walk recommendations
Thank you Tammy!
Those page edges are amazing!
Thank you!!
Even though it’s not exactly a scenic walk, I can recommend a visit to the Forbidden Planet: it’s a bookstore (and more) for all things fantasy and sci-fi and a great place to lose oneself in… 😉
I love the Forbidden Planet! They have signed books and special edition!
OMG! Your painted edges are amazing! I love to paint, but I never have the courage to paint my books LOL
Anyway, have a wonderful time in London!
Thank you!!
Hope you have a wonderful time in London!

Thank you!
You’re welcome!
Glad to hear you can destress by painting. You are such a talented artist, Sophie! I loved walking around London when I visited. We stayed by the Marble Arch but the hotel we stayed at was sold and I don’t like the way it turned out. Hope you enjoy your visit.
Me too Rachel 😉
I would recommend a trip on the London Eye and a trip down the Thames – I know they are quite touristy, but they are wonderful fun:)). Your lovely artistry on book edges is simply gorgeous – thank you for sharing. Have a great week, Sophie.
Thank you! And I love walking on the Embankment!
Sorry to hear about all the work stress, but what a wonderful outlet – art! And you have your trip to look forward to. Les Misérables is such a great show. I saw it for the first time in the late 80s on Broadway. As much as I complain about where I live, I have proximity to things like that.
Broadway must be amazing Sam!
Your painted edges are always amazing! I have not the talent, skill, or courage to do that, but I appreciate the beautiful work of people who do.
Have a wonderful time planning your trip to London, and an even better time when you get there! I recommend the tour of the Tower of London; it’s usually pretty crowded and touristy, but it’s also fascinating. Other than that, I can’t suggest much, because I haven’t been to London in… 22 years? Wow. Oh, wait—I do have a suggestion: go to a few of London’s best bookshops! My personal choices would be Foyles (because they probably have everything), Daunt Books’s Marylebone premises (because the interior is gorgeous), and Hatchards (because it dates back over 200 years and is mentioned in at least half the historical romances I have read.) There’s a good list of London bookshops here: https://www.harpersbazaar.com/uk/culture/g31221033/best-book-stores-in-london/ .
Ooooh thank you so much!!!!
Can’t wait to hear about your trip! Planning is so fun. I haven’t been to england yet so I have to live vicariously throuh others haha. 🙂
I’ll be sure to feed your thoughts then Greg.
Your painted edges are so lovely! I hope your break with your daughter helps to relieve some of your stress and add some balance for you.
Thank you Anne!
I can’t wait for you to enjoy London, Sophie!! 😀
Thank you Lashaan!
I loved London when we were there. There was this burger place next to the british museum that was so delicious. Hope you have so much fun with that! That Vampire romance looks cute, glad it was such a win for you!
I am sure my daughter will be interested by the burger place Renee!
Have a wonderful time in London!! That is super exciting. Glad you are able to handle the stress with painting. That is really cool.
Thank you Samantha!
I can’t help with London except I happened to spot an ad for the Bloomsbury Book Fair on July 9th that might interest you https://etcfairs.com/book-fairs/
Lovely edges.
Wishing you a great reading week
Thank you Shelleyrae!
