Today is Sunday time to look back in the rearview mirror and talk about my week . I am linking up to the Sunday Post hosted for years by Kimberly@caffeinatedreviewer .
In my private life
Happy Sunday!
Late and short Sunday post today.
I had my mouth surgery (gum graft) on Tuesday and it went as well as possible. I wasn’t in pain and even had half my nose asleep for three hours after the surgery. That was quite weird!
And then I just looked like a puffed hamster on one side for most of the week!
Eating antibiotics and painkillers for four days and only eating smoothies, soups etc.
That food will unfortunately be what I eat for one more week at least.
But hey, better to look like a half hamster now than the toothless witch from Snow White right??? 🙂
On the blog this week (click on the graphic to read the post)
I have posted two reviews but I have read or rather listened to two more books this week! I had excellent audiobooks and I can’t wait to write the reviews next week!
Thanks for reading!
Sophie

Oh my, what an ordeal with the surgery. I just got back to checking my blogs again so by this time you should be feeling better – I’m glad the graft went well, even though it sounds painful!
It was not painful this time but that was thanks to painkillers lol
I’m so glad that your gum grafting went to well! i had that done over a decade ago and the recovery was a little intense and rough having them take from the roof of my mouth and put in front of some teeth ack. Sending all the hugs your way and here’s hoping that you recover and are back to normal asap ♥!
I already had one thirty years ago Jen so I knew what to expect!
Glad to hear your gum graft went well – I have a referral for one from my dentist that I keep putting off
Don’t be afraid. Honestly it’s more a bother for two weeks than anything to be afraid of.
Glad to hear your dental surgery went well – hope you’ll feel better soon and also will be able to eat more solid food again quickly!
Thank you Lindsey! It went faster this time!
Glad the mouth surgery went well, Sophie. And I’m so shocked that you didn’t gift us with pictures of you looking like a puffy hamster. How rude. LOL 🙂
Bwahahah sorry Tanya!
Glad to hear the dental procedure went well. I hope the healing process is a quick one for you.
It seems to go faster than the first time Suzanne!
I am glad that you are not suffering, but the teeth are the worst!!
I know :-(((
*OUCH*
Going to the dentist is NEVER fun, and your recent visit sounds like a very un-funny one! Best wishes for the speediest of recoveries! 🙂
Thank you so much Maddalena!
I never like that feeling of being numb, but it beats the alternative. Hope you have some yummy smoothies and soups, Sophie!
I do Teri! thank you!
Eheh I just love the feeling of my face being frozen; I can’t help but keep touching it and wonder how much it does NOT feel like my face at all
Erh- i don’t tend to like soup, as mostly it makes me stomach feel wierd; so eating only liquid is a nightmare for me … speedy recovery to you, Sophie! Xx
I am already tired of liquid diet honestly! I might try something a wee bit more solid tomorrow to be honest!
Happy Sunday Sophie! Glad the mouth surgery went well. Hopefully you’re feeling back to normal soon!
The Diamond Eye looks like a good one. 🙂
It is an amazing one Greg!
Oh wow, good luck with your recovery! It sounds like it’s going well, plus you have a great attitude
I often try to laugh rather than cry Tammy 😉
oh I bet having a gum graft is a pain but hope you are recovering well and sounds like it went better than last time
Its a pretty good audiobook if you can do it in one day!!
It was fascinating indeed Renee!
I have to do a gum graft as well, I just need to get on about scheduling it. Glad to hear yours went well! Have a great week, Sophie!
You too Rachel and good luck house hunting!
I hope your mouth is feeling better now. I’m sorry you puffed up like a chipmunk. When I had my wisdom teeth out and sinus surgery (separately of course), I puffed up for each surgery.
I am just slightly puffed up now with a nice greenish tint LOL
I hope you improve quickly this week. I have really enjoyed the books I have read by Katherine Center. I actually have that one on reserve at the library.
Anne – Books of My Heart This is my Sunday Post
I hope you’ll enjoy her book Anne!
Glad you are doing okay after surgery! Mouth surgery is tough because it affects everything-your eating, talking, etc.
Eaxctly Samantha! Skypes are somewhat…interesting!
You crack me up, but yes, keeping your own teeth is a good thing. Happy healing, Sophie!
Thank you Sam!
