Today is Sunday time to look back in the rearview mirror and talk about my week . I am linking up to the Sunday Post hosted for years by Kimberly@caffeinatedreviewer .

In my private life

Well if last week was hard with work , this one had been even more brutal with me working 2 to 3 hours overtime every day...

I feel like a broken record by this point as I plead for forgiveness for my lack of interactions and reply with you all on the week.

But when my workday ended I had no courage to turn the computer on and blog hop of even post!

I posted a meager two posts last week as I had zero energy.

BUT I told my boss on Friday that I couldn’t go on like that and that I will get back to a more normal schedule else I’ll completely break down and that wouldn’t help anyone.

My therapy to cope with life is to create art.

That’s why I created Elisabeth Scrivener’s funko pop yesterday! And Silas as a cat.

I even designed a mini Sorcery of Thorns book.

I also began watching Shadow and Bone season 2. Only, instead of binge reading it, I only watch one episode every day and then…fall asleep! Not that the show is boring but because I am too exhausted LOL

And for once I am sharing some music with you. The cover of Toxic, originally sung by Britney Spears but here interpreted by Little Big Whale and PV Nova.

As usual now, I am also leaving two reels for you.

One where books and stories are real to me.

And the other of me being destroyed by a book.

On the blog this week (click on the graphic to read the post)

And now I am going to catch up with you all…

Thanks for reading!

Sophie

  1. I’m sorry to hear you had another rough week at work, Sophie! But good you talked to your boss and hopefully this week will be better again. I do love your Funko pops!

  2. I’m trying to make myself finish a couple of other series before starting Shadow and Bone, but not sure if it will happen. Hope you get some rest this week, Sophie!

  3. Two or three hours added to a normal working day do indeed mean that your energies are depleted at the end of it, so don’t feel guilty about not being too active on the blog: hopefully things will go back to normal soon… And I love your new funko pop, particularly the kitten which is *adorable*! 🙂

  4. Sounds like this week has been so exhausting for you! Hope the weekend you were able to get some self care in to help renew and refresh for the week ahead! Life gets busy, we all understand that! 🙂 Hope this upcoming week is better for you. Love your book art.

  5. I hope you’re able to get some rest, Sophie! Your book art is beautiful. I like the sound of Icebreaker.
