Today is Sunday time to look back in the rearview mirror and talk about my week . I am linking up to the Sunday Post hosted for years by Kimberly@caffeinatedreviewer .
In my private life
Happy Sunday!
There is not much to tell about work, it’s still on the low with the holiday so I can do all these “important but non urgent”tasks that I had to delay the whole year when I was overworked!
September will be another story…
This week I got to read a book in French from a Canadian author who contacted me and it was such a nice discovery that I offered to interview her live on Instagram next Saturday!
So now I am preparing my questions 😉
And it seems that me painting book edges is drawing quite the attention as I have been offered to come on Twitch (I didn’t know what that was) and get featured live on a journalist/author’s channel. It’s not the national paper or anything, just someone who created a channel around books and reading. And it’s in French so that will be a change for me!
I’ll post a link sometimes in November.
And as many asked me last week to make the funko pop of Xaden Riorson after I made Violet and Tairn from Fouth Wing… here he is!
Now there is only Andarna missing…

As usual, here are two reels posted last week.
The first is inspired by a Top Five Tuesday that I have seen some weeks ago and is about jobs you only find in books!
And the second is about the book from the Canadian author Dana Blue that I have read this week.
On the blog this week (click on the graphic to read the post)
I have posted three reviews. One for a book I had waited months before reading: The Girl Who Fell Beneath the Sea by Axie Oh. That one was charming.
The second is The Only Purple House in Town by Ann Aguirre. I liked it, it was sweet but I expected even more…
And the last one is my favorite of the week. It’s the second book in the Henna Artist trilogy and that trilogy rocks my world! Alka Joshi has now become an auto buy author!
Thanks for reading!
Sophie

Great news about being invited on Twitch – I’m not surprised that your book edge painting is creating a stir. And your funko Fourth Wing figures rock!! My favourite is Tairn – but that’s no surprise seeing as I’m dragon obsessed to the point of writing my own fantasy series featuring dragon protagonists:)). Have a great week, Sophie.
You too! And thank you so much!

I got all excited because unless I’m mistaken ,the sword you hold in your video preview is a replica of Sting from LOTR, lol. Don’t mind me, I’m just geeking out! Good luck on your endeavors!
It IS a replica of Sting indeed!!
I’m so happy your knowledge of painting book edges is spreading! How exciting!!

I like those times when I can clean up all those tasks which have been hanging around too long. My daughter has long been on gaming Twitch.
