Hi Dear friends!

As I’ve been overwhelmed with work and other not so great news this week I will combine my monthly wrap-up with The Sunday Post today!

 Personal news first

I am sorry if I have been quite MIA these days but I was busy touring the country (granted this is a small country) giving GDPR training and attending business events.

I was also distracted as I got some worrying news from my doctor. She says not to worry as in nine cases out of ten it’s nothing and to wait for blood exams etc. but I can’t totally forget that something is not “as usual”. I will cross my fingers that everything will be back to normal soon but it has me distracted….

The kids are still being difficult as in waiting for their exams to begin and it is still like a powder keg at home!

Now I know that everyone gets better and I just have to wait.

That’s my new mantra and hope.

My month on the blog!

I will list below all the books that I’ve read and reviewed in reading order (click on the graphic to read the review)

Bad Boy Brody by Tijan was a 4,5 stars review (NA Contemporary)

Song of Blood and Stone by L. Penelope was a 4 stars (YA Fantasy)

The Chateau by Tiffany Reisz 4,5 stars review (Erotic)

Ash Princess by Laura Sebastian 4,5 stars (YA fantasy)

Letters to the Lost by Brigid Kemmerer 5 stars (YA contemporary)

Tethered Souls by Beth Flynn: 4,5 stars (favorite Adult Contemporary author)

The Absolutely True Diary of a Part Time Indian by Sherman Alexie 3 stars (read for the Banned Book Club)

Beyond a Darkened Shore by Jessica Leake 3 stars (YA Norse mythology)

Honestly my winner of this month is Letters to the Lost by Brigid Kemmerer. What a fantastic book!!!

I was also very lucky to interview one of my unicorns authors Tijan!

Bloggers love to play games and participate in meme. That’s one thing that I discovered when I began blogging!

Each week I’ve participated in the Top 5 Tuesday, the WWW Wednesday, the I Heart Characters (on Thursday) and First Impression Friday (save for yesterday as I was back home so late).

Here below my favorite Top 5 Tuesday (about saving books from a fire ….with a twist of course!)  and I Heart Characters (about being BFF with a God ro Goddess)

And my latest “First Impression Friday”

I also posted EVERY DAY for the #T4AuthorsChallenge, choosing four favorite authors as in Suanne Laqueur, Emma Scott, Amy Harmon and Cassandra Clare!

I participated in the blog tour Ride or Die to introduce you to my favorite MC (Bikers) books

Last I also wrote a post about giving credit when you use material from other bloggers. Either graphics or text or …

I also participated in …The Sunday Post hosted by Kimberly at Caffeinated Book Reviewer and I’m linking my wrap-up to today’s post.

Blog post of the week: Irina explains why she has doubts and love when she gets likes and comments (don’t we all?) https://drunkenanimeblog.com/2018/06/02/tell-me-im-good/

That’s it! Quite a good month I think!

How was your month and your week?

Thanks for reading!

Sophie

  1. Hope all is well and the news is good! You have been busy this month. I appreciate all your efforts and your great blogger example! Keep up the good work ♥️♥️

  2. Grrr… This was also supposed to be with the first comment…

Good luck with your tests! I hope all turns out well! I so grok waiting for medical test results.. But at least the doctor told you it’s most likely nothing to worry about! I think fake-out results are our bodies’ way of trying to punk us… Not funny, body. Not funny.

  3. Good luck with your results! Waiting is always the hardest. And Beyond A darkened Shore looks interesting- I feel like I could use more YA Norse mythology tales… 🙂

    Have a nice week!

  4. I will have my fingers and toes crossed for you sweet woman. Don’t worry – it will get you nothing. Think good vibes and thoughts because they are with you!!
My oldest just took her SAT’s for college – we are waiting on those results. So I will have extra toes and fingers crossed for you both.

    Mary my #Sunday Roundup #21!

    1. Thank you so much Mary and positive thoughts to your oldest! That said how can you still walk and cook with all the fingers and toes crossed? 😉
