Hello dear readers,

You know by now that I’m hosting a daily event around love but I’ve been a busy bee and today I’m also taking part in a fun blog hop event hosted by Amy at Foxy Blog around book boyfriends.

My favorite book boyfriend this year should not be a surprise for you if you’re following me for some months now.

I want to introduce you to Rhysand our fantastic hero in A Court of Thorns and Roses series by Sarah J Maas.

Maybe you already know my favorite prince as he has quite a success with the ladies?

Why do I love Rhysand so much?

Well let me share with you some excerpt from my reviews and favorite quotes about this swoony hero:

“Feyre’sΒ  salvation unexpectedly came from Rhysand. The dark High Fey Lord, Amarantha’s wh@re , the β€œenemy” in the first book stepped into this tragedy and asked Feyre to hold her side of the bargain. And I was grateful, yes grateful for Rhys to β€œkidnap” Feyre one week each month because she stopped fading away. With his taunts, he brought her back from the pit of despair she was slowly slipping in. He pushed her to fight, to hone her new skills. Relentless, he didn’t coddle her up, didn’t try to put her aside didn’t use her like a glorified pet. Not once did Rhys deny Feyre her freedom to choose her fate: fight or stay behind. Even if it killed him sometimes to see her exposed to danger.

And so my world turned upside down as I was now team Rhys, no longer team Tamlin and Feyre was a shadow of herself in the beginning of the story.”

Rhysand was just.. perfect. He showed some facets we did guess in the previous books that were ascertained in this third instalment. Seeing him so compassionate, self-sacrificing and loving was really admirable.

Rhysand’s most important quality , the one that made me fall head over heels in love with him was his faith in Feyre. His love was not the caging one. He gave wings to Feyre. Set her free. Had her see her true abilities. Even when he was frightened to death about the danger she would face he did not try to coddle or discourage. He just gave her his strength.

β€œYou do not fear”, Rhys breathed. β€œYou do not falter. You do not yield. You go in, you get her, and you come out again.”

Rhysand’s picture here above has been drawn and designed by Merwild! I bought this graphic on Redbubble and have the author’s approval to post it here. She also is the one that designed the print for The Cruel Prince by Holy Black in the Fairyloot January box. Go pay her a visit she is truly gifted! https://merwild.deviantart.com/

Now do tell me if he is not the perfect book boyfriend?

Would you be so kind to share with me YOUR favorite book boyfriend?

  1. I always feel at a loss whenever I come across ACOTAR fans because I haven’t read this series yet (I should be sued, I guess XD) and now this post about Rhysand being your book boyfriend and how cool he is, just makes me want to start reading this asap πŸ˜€ An empowering hero? And he looks as good as in the beautiful illustration by Merwild?? God, I want to read ACOTAR all the more now <3

  2. I loved this: “Rhysand’s most important quality , the one that made me fall head over heels in love with him was his faith in Feyre. His love was not the caging one. He gave wings to Feyre. 1. Thank you Kristen! I admire all the gorgeous illustrations on Pinterest and Deviant Art but never use them without the artist’s consent. I was overjoyed when Merwild gave me the green light.

  3. RHYSAND my love I definitely need to get around to reading ACOWAR. I just love him so much!! and the graphic looks super cool, I definitely am tempted to order a bit of merch, as there are amazing designs at Society6 πŸ˜€

  4. I agree wholeheartedly. I think I fell in love with Rhysand when he taught Feyre to read, because it was the most in-your-face example of the way he’s with her: he doesn’t swoop in and save her, he most often gives her the tools she needs to save herself when/how she chooses.
