Today is Sunday time to look back in the rearview mirror and talk about my week . I am linking up to the Sunday Post hosted for years by Kimberly@caffeinatedreviewer .
In my private life
Well I have been nearly totally absent from the blog and WordPress last week.
That semi hiatus wasn’t planned but is due to exhaustion linked to the relentless heat that we know for more than a month now coupled with bad sleep and a three days migraine.
I have little energy left at the end of the day because of all of this and I chose not to blog. It would have felt like an obligation, more like a chore and I don’t want that.
So I have decided that I will take it slow for the summer, as long as I have poor nights and I hope to be more active in Fall/Winter with the drop of temperatures.
Sorry that I didn’t visit your blogs last week.
I will try to catch up as much as I can.
But there was a bright spot this weekend: we hosted a friend and his wife and we had a grand time! It’s someone that I know for forty years now! He is currently living in the US and he came back for the holiday so we had to see each other!
That was also the first BBQ that we did this year and it was delicious!
As usual I am leaving you with two reels.
The first one is a parody about fairy tales (and it took me hours to write, film and edit!
The second was faster to make…
Thanks for reading.
Sophie

Sorry to hear that you were under the weather and that it has been putting you out of commission! Hopefully you are feeling a bit better now.
I am thanks to better sleep!
Take all the time you need Sophie! This heat really has been relentless and draining, and blogging should never start to feel like a chore. Hope we’ll have more “normal” temperatures soon!
Sure hope you get some relief from the heat soon, Sophie. Our temps dropped over the weekend, but we’re right back in the 90s later this week.
The heat really is relentless! Sometimes when life gets in the way it is necessary to take a step back. I hope you feel better soon and that the temps also drop soon!
Please take all the time off you need. I hope you get better soon.

I hate the summer heat. It makes me sick and unable to do much as well. I hope you feel better soon.
Oh no! For sure, the heat drains your energy big time- me & mom are prone to heat fatigue due to our meds, so in a heatwave I can barely even put the nose out happy that you had some fun nonetheless!
The heat can really make you more exhausted and drained. And I know you have it worse than what we have in the states with not much access to AC. Hope a break will give you what you need there.
I’m sorry about your migraine The heat is awful here too and we barely get a break at night. It makes you want to lie in bed and do nothing!
What a treasure a long friendship like that is! Take care of yourself.
The heat has been awful this summer. We barely had a break from it. And tomorrow once again so hot. UGH
So great you could get together with your friend. It’s hot everywhere in August. But September it will start to ease off a bit here.

I miss your reels on Instagram as I don’t get on there as often as I want, and I need to make sure to go check yours out when I do! I can definitely understand the exhaustion, because you don’t have air conditioning do you? I could not sleep in that heat either! Ugh. But I agree you don’t want blogging to become an obligation, you want to do it because you enjoy it. I occasionally have to step back at times a little too, so that it doesn’t do that to me either. I hope this week maybe the temps go down a bit for you!
