So what if playing the witch for a historical society is the deal to let her stay in her cottage? Thorn Scarhart, ancient witch, cat whisperer and potion brewer will more or less gladly pay that price for the chance of finding love in the modern world.

Even if navigating online dating comes with some delusions as not everyone is not as he seems.

But she can always count on Walls, a charming veterinarian to have her back and help her out of her misery. In return, she will help him find what happened to all these terrorized cats, smelling some foul play and magic trick!

And what if, after all, love is right under her nose?

That cozy fantasy was fun to read, entertaining and on the light side, Thorn Scarhart being very relatable with her longing for love and quest for youth. Add to it Walls the archetype of hot, solid and silent hero and, cherry on top, Bandit who was a perfect cat overlord, reigning on Thorn’s cottage while laughing evilly ,until you gave him some tuna mousse that is! If you love cozy witchy fantasy, that could be a good idea to give this one a go.
