Today is Sunday time to look back in the rearview mirror and talk about my week . I am linking up to the Sunday Post hosted for years by Kimberly@caffeinatedreviewer .Â
In my private life
Happy Sunday,
The most important event that happened this week was my daughter getting her master at university with Great Honors!
We are overjoyed and so proud of her!
She has worked hard and deserves every A and A+!
I had my second art class and it pushed me out of my comfort zone!
We could choose one photo in black and white from a photograph who uses a lot of contrast (see photo below).
Then we had to shade the picture and we could only use black! A pencil, charcoal or paint. The trick was that we couldn’t draw the objects or the buildings or the characters. We had to make them appear on paper by shading AROUND them.
We also couldn’t have grey in the drawing so the shadows had to be either black or white.
Here is the second photo I chose:

I chose it because it was very challenging with a LOT of things and people in it! I like to push myself.
And here is the result:

I had the time to draw three photos and I realised that I was extremely fast!
I was exhausted after that as I had to focus all the time, deciding between shading or leaving the zone white…
Also as usual, I am sharing a reel with you where I loved playing the witch!
On the blog this week (click on the graphic to read the post)
I posted two fantasy reviews this week!

Your art is fabulous, unfortunately I can barely draw a stick figure.
Wishing you a wonderful reading week
Congratulations to your daughter.. that is wonderful.
I am listening to the audio of the second book in the Broadbent series. Still good.
Congratulations to your daughter, Sophie – I know you’re a proud mom! If I’d been given an assignment like that, I’d immediately throw in the towel and exit the building. I possess zero artistic talent, lol.
Congrats to your daughter! And I remember doing that exercise in a drawing class too. It’s harder than it looks! You did great
Wonderful work by your daughter! That has to be satisfying. I loved A Drop of Corruption so much.
