The hype is real !

Silver Elite, a captivating novel, lives up to its hype! If you enjoyed Divergent, you’ll likely find Silver Elite equally enthralling.

The Plot in a nutshell:

The world is divided between Primes, ordinary humans, and Mods, genetically enhanced individuals with unique abilities. Mods emerged after a devastating war involving chemical or nuclear weapons a century ago. Their most common power is telepathy, and when they use it, their veins glow with a silvery light.


Under the oppressive rule of General Redden, a ruthless leader known for his iron fist, the Prime rule reigns supreme. Mods are hunted relentlessly, and a significant purge occurred 25 years ago, resulting in the deaths of ten thousand Mods. Now, individuals face a grim choice: labor camps, death, or becoming loyalists to the General, aiding in the hunt for their own kind.


Wren, a formidable Mod, possesses extraordinary abilities but lacks the signature silver glow when she uses her powers. Raised from a young age by her family friend, Uncle Jim, in a remote ranch ward, Wren’s life takes a tragic turn when their cover is blown, and Uncle Jim, a deserter, is killed. Captured by elite soldiers, Wren is interrogated by their leader, Cross Redden, one of the General’s sons.


Forced to join the soldier recruit program, Wren undergoes a grueling selection process to become a part of the elite Silver Elite.

Know that the plot and world-building are expertly crafted, leaving readers eager to discover more. Wren’s journey is marked by pivotal decisions that challenge her perceptions of humanity. Questions arise: what defines a monster? Can war justify any action? Are Mods inherently superior to Primes? This complex exploration of gray areas creates a compelling female protagonist who defies easy categorization. While some of Wren’s reckless choices may have prompted readers to shake their heads, they undoubtedly contribute to the dramatic tension and adrenaline rush of the story.


Competition!
The competition and selection element is another highlight of Silver Elite. Initially reluctant, Wren is ultimately thrust into the program, paired with unsavory and unhinged competitors who revel in torturing Mods. Wren must constantly be vigilant, resorting to deception to maintain her composure, creating a palpable sense of tension throughout the narrative.


Romance
Last but not least is the commanding Cross! The sparks that fly between him and Wren are simply captivating. It’s the classic “he’s my enemy, but he’s also incredibly hot” trope! Their attraction and chemistry are electrifying, fueled by the dual forbidden elements of commanding officer and recruit, as well as prime and mod. It’s simply delicious!
