Hi friends,
Today is Sunday, time to look back in the rearview mirror and talk about my week in and out of the blog. As usual I am linking up to the Sunday Post hosted for years by Kimberly @caffeinatedreviewer .
In my private life
Obsessing and procrastinating…that’s a weird combo right?
Well hear me out.
My work week has been …busy but still working from home so, nothing to report on that front.
I had a great Wednseday morning as I went for a walk with a friend I hadn’t seen in months! We went in the woods, no one in sight, not wearing masks in the open air but keeping a safe distance. She was not used to keeping her distance while walking so I was careful for both of us and that gave a weird dance with me slowing down when I was following her and she slowed down or going left or right when we walked side by side.
You’d think we had a steel bar between us keeping us apart.
But better safe than sorry!
Now I have been obsessively looking for the perfect Lightroom preset to give more cohesion to my Instagram feed.
Since Tuesday I bought three filters (but once applied to my pictures that didn’t work at all 😕 ) and read countless youtube tutorials. I also made at least 20 own preset myself before finally making THE ONE yesterday! YESS!
As I was obsessing on Lightroom I was simultaneously procrastinating doing anything related to the blog!
I replied to comments only today!!! Lucky for me, I still blog hopped during the week.
But I have at least four reviews written and in need of formatting to post on the blog!
See? My obsession led to procrastination!
On the blog (click on the graphic to read the post)
This week I published two reviews BUT I finished three more books! Hopefully, the reviews will be posted next week.
I only wrote my Top Ten Tuesday post, being true to my good resolutions as this week’s topic was Good Resolutions LOL
How was your week? Great I hope!
Thanks for reading!
Yay for walking with a friend! I do that on Sundays because we live in such an open area that isn’t heavily populated at all…..we’re so so so so rural lol. And it’s everything being able to “exercise” outdoors with a friend ♥. So happy you can do that too!
I’m obsessing about organizing myself, I head in every direction, note everything, and procrastinate doing what has to be done, so in a way, I can relate – I could write a book on procrastination ! Enjoy your week 🙂
Thank you! You too!
I love the simplicity of my pseudo lightroom setup for my photos hahah It avoids me from working my imagination too hard and creating amazing things like you do, for example! 😉
Well Lashaan I’ve never been known to go for simplicity LOL
Glad to hear you got to spend some quality in-person time with a friend. Also, glad to hear you found a preset that’s working for you. I saw your bookstagram post where you talked about using a new one and thought your pics looked lovely.
Thank you Suzanne! I finally found “the one” LOL
Glad you were able to get out and enjoy some time with your friend, Sophie. Have a great week!
Thank you Teri!
Oh my, this sounds like a busy busy week! I am sorry that one of the filter did not work for you, but you do always an amazing job with your pictures!!
Aww thank you Susy!
I hope you have a great week coming!

Thank you!!
I can get a little obsessive at times so I understand the impulse. I used to have quite the collection of presets but I barely do any photography/graphic work anymore.
Wishing you a great reading week
Thank you Shelley Rae
I miss hiking in the woods. There’s so much debris still from the hurricane. And I can relate to those two words!
I hope you’ll get to hike again soon Laura!
It sounds like a very good week to me. Maybe not procrastinating but reflecting on things before jumping into them? If I can, I like to do that. Happy reading!
Thank you Anne!
oh girl ….I totally understand procrastination, I do it in some aspects to blogging…instagram I have been horrible at this past year. I need to get some new props so I can start doing it again. I always do mine in the early afternoon where there is lots of natural light and its perfect.
I love taking walks outside, that fresh air feels so nice especially when we wear masks everywhere. So good for you and your friend finding ways to be creative in being together yet being safe.
I hope you’ll get these props and post Renee!
Dancing in the woods haha! Glad you were able to get out and spend time with a friend though. So important nowadays! Hope you’re having a great weekend! 🙂
Thank you Greg I did!
I’ve been dabbling in LR and PS. I have snagged a few free presets and nothing has really worked for me. Its time consuming!!
Glad you got to take a walk outside with a friend. That is so important these days.
Your Instagram posts are amazing already! I can lose hours procrastinating on the stupidest of things especially when it comes to graphics and as my work week ahead is going to involve creating some, it’s going to be a long week!
I hope your week went well Heather!!
Love a good walk!
Wow you read 5 books, go you!!! We tend to go for walks in the evening so it’s dark and no one else is around!!! Its so peaceful but you do have to watch where your walking because doggy doos that people don’t pick up!!!! Hope your week is good x
Doggy poop LO Caro only you would come with that in a comment Bwahahah
Hahahaahaaa, I always try to lower the tone according to my Mum!!!
It’s nice you got to spend some time with your friend. I don’t think I have seen anyone in person other than family since we locked down. Good luck finding the perfect Lightroom setting for your feed. As far as obsessions go, I think creativity is a good one.
Well when you say it like that Sam I must be very healthy LOL And yes I found my preset or rather made my own.
The walk in the woods sounds lovely! I often tell myself that I would walk more if I didn’t live in a city, with boring sidewalks and houses around…and barking dogs! LOL
Enjoy your week, and thanks for visiting my blog.
Thank you Laurel!
I love seeing your Instagram posts, Sophie, you’re doing amazing! I’m glad you were careful on your walk, as you say, better safe than sorry.
We have the ne Covid variant in Canada now, 2021 is going to be filled with ups and downs I’m afraid.
Thank you for your praise Jacquie!! And stay safe please!
Obsessing and procrastinating are my two middle names! I’m glad you were able to enjoy your walk with your friend even if it did require a little fancy footwork.
Thank you Kim!!!
Oh, to enjoy a walk out into the woods. Not going to happen here for sometime. We did however get two feet of snow yesterday so the view from our balcony is out onto a winter wonderland. It’s pretty out there! Hope you get your lighting sorted for your instagramfeed. ☺️
I am happy that the view is mesmerizing and comforting for you Alexandra! I know you’ve been bunked up into your appartment for some time now!
My week was filled with exams and reading in between studying for them, because as much as I love science, and I love it a LOT, all that technical papers bore me to half death, especially when we’re not even in relevant technology land anymore *sighs in despair*. I too procrastinate! Always! I’m like a master procrastinator lol. And I totally get your obsess and procrastinate thing, because I will totally obsess over this completely random journal design that I want to purchase and totally procrastinate on completing my assignments hahaha. o(≧▽≦)o I have to be honest with you tho, I totally did not understand the photography mumbo, but I’m glad it worked out for you Sophie ╰(▔∀▔)╯
Bwahahah thank you Ari!
