Today is Sunday time to look back in the rearview mirror and talk about my week . I am linking up to the Sunday Post hosted for years by Kimberly@caffeinatedreviewer .

In my private life

Happy Sunday!

It’s a beautiful fall day here after a very busy week at work!

I went three times to the office last week and one of them was for a gathering of the whole department. 450 people in one big room and then smaller workshops indoor the whole day.

And of course, the day after we learned that some just tested positive for COVID (alias “the virus we can’t name”.

So we’ll see how it goes and how many of us will be infected. So far so good for me but it’s still early!

What else….

Oh yes, this week I took many mini breaks from social media because I just wanted to read! And I did and enjoyed my books so much!

I am also updating those of you who are interested in following my LIVE CHAT with ROBIN ROE on Instagram as there as been a CHANGE OF PLANS.

Robin asked me to have it on release day! So the new schedule is Tuesday October 11th 3 PM EST!

I am so excited as I love chatting with authors! I just hope my wifi connection will work properly on my phone and that Instagram will cooperate!

For those of you who can’t make it, I’ll save the chat on my video feed and will post a link here next Sunday!

Also if you want to ask some questions to Robin, leave them in comments here or on Instagram.

I will leave you with a fun reel I made this week with what I am telling to Beware of the Husband every time new books turn out on my shelves...

On the blog this week (click on the graphic to read the post)

I posted three reviews this week ( and many more are to come next week) and one of them is Robin Roe’s new book! So if you are curious….

Also I am leaving a link to my Top Ten Tuesday post as I went rogue and imagined what my dream bookshop should have as “essentials”. And honestly, I’ll live in there! https://www.bewareofthereader.com/what-essentials-would-my-dream-bookstore-have-top-ten-tuesday-10-04-2022/

So here below is Robin’s new book!

Thanks for reading!

Sophie

  1. Love your reel! I wish my husband was convinced of that argument:)
I hope you have avoided the virus that cannot be named. The risks, especially from repeated infections, are so awful.

Wishing you a great reading week

  2. Hi Sophie! Too bad about the crowded room with COVID person. I mean, isn’t that job st bound to happen? Here in Minnesota, large office meetings like that are still rare – at least in the cities. But they’re happening more and more! My 7th grader is going on her first school field trip since COVID this November.

  3. Of course someone tested positive. Hope you don’t get sick too, Sophie! I guess we have been missing each other on the Sunday Post. I end up posting later on Sundays lately. So busy. Love your fall header! 🙂

  4. Love your fall-ish header. Ugh, a big gathering at the office – and of course Covid. No surprise there. My office still bans all large in-person gatherings. Even small meetings are advised to use Teams instead. Hooray for a social media break so you could read without distraction.

  5. Keeping my fingers crossed for you! What kind of madness was the decision to gather so many people in the same room???? We have to learn how to co-exist with the Thing We Cannot Name, granted, but some common good sense should always enter into the equation….

  6. Fun to do an author interview. I’m a little intimidated to even try – I think I’d start with a Q&A so I have time to think about what to ask/say. I’m loving the start of the new season; the weather changes, the color changes, it’s all lovely. Till the winter rains set in. 🙂
Hope you have a terrific week and find time to curl up with one of those good books.

  7. Oh no- hope the dreaded Covid doesn’t make the rounds. Fingers crossed! Sounds like the work get together was nice though otherwise. And it’s been looking like fall around here too! LAst week not much, but now we’re getting that special autumn light 🙂

  8. They do know much more about COVID now than they did two years ago, so there are many treatments now for it. I never get it bad so I don’t fear going out or getting together with people. But I know some ppl do so I understand the frustration over that. I think its just part of getting back to living again, growth pains lol

I can only imagine how fun it is to chat with authors live. I love doing blog like interviews with them, but a super plus to talk one on one!

Hope you have a great week!
