Hi dear friends,

Today I am very happy to welcome not a blogger nor an author but a reader like you and me!

But what a reader!

Pam Nelson is known for her ultimate love of audiobooks and her always honest reviews. She is the one who helped me give you a “Top 10 best audiobooks listened to in 2018” some weeks ago!

Today Pam will happily share with you 5 of her All-time Love Stories. πŸ˜€Β

Let’s read what she has to tell!

These are books I have read over and over again or I should say Listen to over and over again. πŸ˜‰ I am not going to give you blurbs just give you a little of why these mean so much to me.

Ugly Love By: Colleen Hoover

Narrated by: Grace Grant, Deacon Lee

Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover – This woman has a way with words, she made me feel so very many things, and it’s a testament to her and the narrators truly to make you so invested in a book like this. I know it was published in 2014 but it’s just one of those love stories that it hurts so good. You root for Miles you root for Tate, your heart breaks for them both for different reasons. I say if you haven’t listened to this in audio you’re missing out because the narrators really brought this story up a level.

Making Faces By: Amy Harmon

Narrated by: Rob Shapiro

Making Faces by Amy Harmon – I know another not resent but seriously the narration is OUTSTANDING. The writing is phenomenal, I recommend this book to everyone to read with your eyes or with your ears it really can put things into perspective. Ambrose and Fern oh Fern they make my heart hurt and heal it’s a love story for the ages. Β

The Understatement of the Year by Sarina Bowen

Narrated by: Teddy Hamilton, Christian Fox

The Understatement of the Year by Sarina Bowen – MM romance – Β Boy it’s another one that was published in 2014. If anyone read Him and Us by Sarina and Elle, I swear this is like if those two books had a baby this would be the results. Rikker and Graham will worm their way into your heart and if you’re anything like me you won’t want to let them go because of the emotions this story will take you on. I had tears, I feltΒ joy, I felt the love and the pain. It really shows you what incredible writers and narrators can do with words. Beauty. Love is Love. <3

Golden Trail By: Kristen Ashley

Narrated by: Brian Pallino

Golden Trail by Kristen Ashley – Again if you know me KA is my jam it’s no wonder one if not all of her books are not on this list but I wanted to show range here people. Haha ;), KA does this thing where she gives you a bonus love story to root for in among the main story. I LOVE this so hard. This book we get second chance romance and new love omg it was just so freaking sweet, you know that feeling when your reading or listening and you never want the book to end? That is exactly how I felt with this book. All the good and warm feelings, this my friends is why I love romance so much.

The Fragile Ordinary By: Samantha Young

Narrated by: Elle Newlands

The Fragile Ordinary by Samantha Young – YA romance – Finally a book from 2018, I almost always never know what kind of book I will get with Samantha. I loved how unpredictable the story was, how Samantha could have put drama in and she didn’t I loved how her characters reacted to situations. It is not only thought-provoking but it sucks you in and makes an impact.Β Really and truly one of those books that is a hidden gem at least it was for me.

Pam’s bio:

On Goodreads you’ll find that she says :” I just love books. I was introduced to Audiobooks awhile back and I am addicted. I still eye read too but I am a slowish reader. So it’s one of the reason why I will go for Audiobooks before the printed word. Plus I can devour more books this way.

Reading wasn’t something that came easy to me. Maybe that’s why I like it so much now. My first chapter book I read was Blood and Chocolate by Annette Curtis Klause. And it was grade 11 yep like I said it wasn’t easy for me. But now I read anything Romance or Erotica, or Vampire, that I can get my hands on. Or anything Kristen Ashley. <3  «

What I can tell about Pam is that she is an upbeat very friendly Canadian mom addicted to audiobooks and everyday life warrior 😉

  1. Great line up of authors. I’ve read three of these. Last year I started listening to books and have so many that I read and would now like to listen to. A good narrator can really add to the experience.

  2. I too listened to Ugly Love and it was GREAT. Oh, what I wouldn’t give to get my hands on an audiobook version of Making Faces (ONE OF MY ALLTIME FAVES) but I highly recommend it to everyone. I’ll have to check out the other three books…I’ve not read them.

  3. Great recommendations! So happy to find another Audiobook sister! That’s all I have the energy and time to do now. I haven’t’ “read” a book for months! So, GOD BLESS AUDIOBOOKS! I totally agree CoHo and Amy Harmon are superb writers! Following Pam now on Instagram and sent her a GR friend request. Thank you for this wonderful post Pam and Sophie
