I should have done the Top Ten Tuesday yesterday but I couldn’t find ten side characters that deserve a book.

So I skipped this week and worked to repurpose an old content, choosing books from the past months to recommend!

The topic:  recommend books based on your favorite Fall activity!

Let’s do a “if you like” then “you’ll like” and see if my predictions are right 😀 . Please leave me a comment!

First Fall activity: football season!

If you love watching a football game that may be for the challenge and supporting some friends or family but that also may be because you love looking at these hot and muscled calves/thighs/butts/abs …. 😀

If that’s your favorite activity I would recommen … sportsromances!

I haven’t read a lot of sportsromances these past months so I’ll go back in time when I used to read lots of romance!

When Fall is upon us, the woods wear glorious colors so if you are like me and love walking in the woods and connect with nature I would totally recommend books with earthy creatures. Deep connection to their inner beast or inhabitants of the woods like shifters and fae!

My favorite shifter and fae stories that I would recommend are:

If your idea of fun is going to pumpkin feasts and Fall markets you love celebrating with friends, family and neighbors. You adore exchanging pleasantries and catching up on the latest gossip. Being part of a community and making memories for the kids is important for you.

I would totally recommend book with great communities and small town vibe!

Another great activity in Fall is walking in corn mazes and entering spooky barns, especially on Halloween night!

If you love getting spooked and being frightened by big bad things hiding in dark corners I bet you’d love books with a spooky or gothic vibe!

I would totally recommend:

Cosplaying and trick or treating with the kids is your most favorite passtime this season?

Then I bet that you love  fantasy with lots of action, a little bit of love and big dose of humor!

Here are some recommendations for you:

Now if you find the air quite chill and use any excuse to stay inside close to the fire, drinking hot cocoa to read a book you would definitely need something cosy and contemporary, a cozy mystery or maybe a good old fashion mystery/crime?

Some ideas here:

And if you dream of baking pumpkin pies and carrot cakes with ginger you would be drawn to books with a warm and sweet feel. Also books with great families and sibblings relationships as we often bake for our kids or husband. Maybe books with some creative main character like artists or chefs or going on an adventure… Some romcom too!

My recommendations for you would be:

That’s it!

Now you tell me: am I right?

Thanks for reading!

Sophie

  1. Such a fun post, Sophie! I get a smile every time I see Wolfsong mentioned. I plan on starting Ravensong soon. And Fourth Wing was amazing! So glad the wait for book two is not a long one.
