This Sunday I’m choosing a book that destroyed my world years ago. I mean it’s a huge taboo book. A real taboo.

As I read it before Goodreads I did not realize I could write reviews about books. So today you won’t get a review.

But this book was so potent that it’s still on my “Top 5 Most Incredible Books” years ago.

I hesitated a long time before reading this book due to the taboo topic. But..

When I turned the last page I was utterly gutted. I could not sleep and yet it was very late at night. I could not stop crying. I could only invent my own ending as the one in the book was too cruel.

Don’t misunderstand me I still knew and know incest is forbidden. But Tabitha Suzuma has a huge talent. She is suffocating me when I read her books.

I forget to breathe. It’s only when I see stars dancing before my eyes that I realize I was not breathing anymore.

I fell for her characters. Hard! I wanted them to be happy as impossible as it seemed.

The highest praise this book received was maybe by the author Penelope Douglas that ended chanting “Lochan is not real, Lochan is not real, Lochan…”
