Hi dear friends,
Sixth day of Suanne Laqueur today in the challenge organized by Collector of Book Boyfriends and Totally Bex.
Topic of the day: favorite quote. Singular.
Well I am feeling rebellious today as I can’t choose only one quote. It’s simply impossible as Suanne writes too beautifully.
So here are SOME among my favorites:
From “The Man I Love”
“Nothing man-made was perfect. Not even massive churches. A partnership wasnβt about being beautiful and adored in the spotlight, it was about incorporating the mistakes into the architecture.β
From “An Exaltation of Larks”
“I want to wake up every morning and listen to your heart. I want to be the last man you slept with. When you say it’s been a long time since you’ve made love, I want that time to be a matter of hours. Because I loved you last night. And I’m going to love you again tonight.”
Less romantic but not less true
βDonβt marry the guy whoβs your drinking buddy,β she told Deane. βMarry the guy who holds your head while youβre throwing up, then wipes down the toilet afterward.β
and the famous
“I’d like to be faithful to you another year”
From A Charm of Finches
Because I love Stef. He gives so much of himself to others..
βItβs not about me,β Stef said, letting go their hands. βYou tell the story. Nothingβs going to push me away, all right? If you can live it, I can listen to it.β
About love
βI think love is a big wisdom made up of small understandings.”
And because I waited so long for jav to get his HEA
βYouβre the last chapter,β Jav said. βI went from the prologue to you. I skipped everything in the middle and now Iβm in love with you and I donβt know what the hell Iβm doing.β
I would love for you to share your favorite quotes!
Thanks for reading.
Nice picks. I love that first quote!
Thank you Adrienne!!!
I love these! You picked perfectly Sophie!
Thank you so much Trisy!!!
Love these quotes! π
Thank you Raven!
I love the quote about the drinking buddy….you want someone that will be there for you through the good and the bad and will have your back no matter what happens.
Exactly! After 22 years or marriage I can say that it’s really important to have someone helping you go through the hard part of life. π
