Ten favorit cinnamon-roll heroes.

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

Today’s theme is: Genre Freebie (Pick a genre and build a list around it. You could do historical fiction featuring strong female leads, contemporary romance set in foreign countries, mysteries starring unreliable narrators, lyrical fiction books in verse, historical romance featuring pirates, Gothic novels with birds on the cover, etc. There are so many options!)

I chose romance (or romantasy) with cinnamon roll male main character!

I know it’s all the rage to talk about the bad boy or the morally grey character or the villains and I do love these from time to time but after reaching over fifty years of life what I appreciate most in a love interest is a good guy. The one that will be there for you and that you could introduce to your grandma. The one that will help others and be a great dad. And the one that will be all soft with you!

So here are ten cinnamon roll heroes! Enjoy.

Jackson is perfect for that role! He is all structure and self-control. After a tough childhood, he’s built his life around stability — raising his younger sisters and working hard for everything he has. He’s brilliant, loyal, and a little too hard on himself. But when Delilah crashes into his world, she shakes him loose in all the best ways.

Yarrow is another prime example.

 The grumpy, gentle gardener with a soft center.
He’s been alone for years, tending the island’s magical greenhouses. When Terlu appears, she upends his quiet life, and he lets her in anyway. He’s not just a caretaker; he’s a cook, a dreamer, and someone learning to hope again. (And yes, all the food descriptions made me ravenous.)

Tom Halloran.

He has a dreamy physique: very tall, long brown curly hair and beard that makes him look like a modern Jesus. Even being THE singer to follow, he also is humble, considerate, loyal and gentle. Pair it with poetic lyrics and a voice out of this world and of course Clementine was a goner!

Beckett! Cinnamon roll hero with a hot bod, four kittens and a duck… do I need to say more? Yes?
Well he also can’t stand too much noise but will suffer through it to please others (that means a flawed hero that you just want to hug to make it all better).
That’s Beckett for you or “farm boy”.

Every woman who has been pregnant knows that’s no picnic and raising a kid alone is even more frightening! So when Shep, Willa’s older brother and Eve’s friend show up at every corner, buying her a warm hat, massaging her feet and listening to Eve’s fears, she feels less alone.

Shep that felt like a cross between a marshmallow and an oak tree.  And with his floppy hair he became so alluring all of a sudden!

Aidan! Aaaw that boy made my heart melt. He was such an amazing good guy! Kind to everyone and protective of Haylee. She was his light and his everything. I love when a hero is devoted to the heroine and dotes on her every chance he gets!

Daniel, mayor of a very small town founded by his ancestors. Daniel has no money, has a deaf dog, sports tattoos and mud boots, works wood with great talent. He lives a simple life. A good life. And the town’s community is like a big family.

Daniel truly embraced Alexis in his world without any reservation. He gave it all. He supported Alexis, cared for her, helped her to truly grow as a person.
Sigh! I have starry eyes talking about him.

Levi, oh Levi! <3
“I want to buy her flowers, food, books. I want to hold her hand, and I want to lock her in my bedroom. She’s everything I ever wanted and I want to inject her into my veins and also to never see her again.”

When Bee faints on her first day (because Bee is prone to fainting) she ends up in Levi’s very strong arms… and keeps thinking about being crushed against his strong body.

Levi is very intimidating, very tall and very sexy. And he was one of the best parts of this story! Every woman needs her Levi!

Kai!

He began as a grinch, a hot lumberjack of a grinch. One that could certainly crush watermelons with his thighs according to Holly (I snickered at that reference of Instagram videos). Kai has been badly hurt, by his family and by …someone else that I won’t name. But basking in Holly’s light, that ice of heart will soon come to life.

Luka, Luka, Luka, Luka, Luka, Luka, Luka, Luka, Luka, Luka, Luka, Luka, Luka, Luka, Luka, Luka, Luka…

I could write a book about Luka! He is sweet, sexy, supportive, a great cook, very attentive, funny, laidback, great in bed and only wants to please Stella. He also is good at communication and when we were headed to a third act breakup it lasted maybe one or two pages and that was such a relief! Because Luka talked with Stella and vice versa.

I just realised that BK Borison has written (at least) three of my favorite cinnamon roll heroes!
