The Lost Fisherman by Jewel E. Ann is now live!

It’s been five years since I’ve seen him. An unexpected event takes me back to the place where it all began.

But I’m no longer the naïve young woman he once knew. And he’s no longer the man who took nearly everything from me. Can this be our time? Or is it too late? Did I find myself only to lose him?

That review will be difficult to write as the blurb is minimalist and I don’t want to spoil anything!
First I’ll begin with: I loved it even more than the first! The issue that I had about the imbalance in the relationship, about Reese being very naive and judgemental disappeared! Same with Fisher being quite the “hot and cold” guy, seeming to string her along. Every issue I had in the first book were gone!
Jewel E Ann also never takes us where we expect!
She did a major twist right at the beginning of the story that will catapult the plot and the relationship to a brand new path. And I LOVED IT!
We now have a mature Reese who has found her calling as a nurse assisting midwives. She is confident and very enthusiastic about her job. I’d dare to say that she has bloomed and it was a real pleasure to see her character’s transformation.
Fisher is a whole different man, no longer playing with Reese’s feelings and with a new and very endearing vulnerability. I dare say that I got the best of him in this story! Open, vulnerable yet assured in other ways. Nerdy and playful.
I loved their new dynamic even if , of course, things will get messy. But where would be the fun otherwise right?
Jewel really delivered and excellent sequel and she took me for a spin. Character growth, love, spicy moments and angst, you have it all! Bravo!

  1. Writing reviews without spoilers ….is that EVER possible? hahaha I stopped trying a while ago. I always put a notice above every review that I do though that it could contain spoilers so readers are aware of it beforehand. While I try not to spoil too much, as readers we all have various levels of what is a spoiler and what isn’t.
