Hi dear friends!

Time for a little weekly chit chat about how my week went and what happened on the blog. As usual I will link it up with @CaffeinatedReviewer.

First in my personal life this week

MY SON GOT HIS HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA!!!!!!

Sorry for shouting but if you follow me for some time now you must now that the struggle was real. He had to retake two exams: mathematics and Dutch. My hubs explained the maths and I coached Dutch …with a great deal of patience and many times when I wanted to throw everyting *my son included* through the window!

He worked hard, we worked hard and success!!!!

Now he left high school and began college studying security. He will have law lessons, fighting techniques, English and Dutch, psychology etc.

My daughter had three exams to retake mathematics, physics and chemistry. She also aced everything!

These are my highlights of the week with a day at the spa with my son to celebrate! We both had earned some massages and destressing care.

Tomorrow I’ll be back at work and it will be a looong week.

Then on the blog this week (Click on the graphic to read the review or post).

I’ve read and reviewed two books and one of them was a big one!

I want to thank all of you as you voted for Tower of Dawn two weeks ago and it was the push that I needed to read this one!

I am currently busy doing a beta read for Suanne Laqueur in what is her first fantasy story!

On Monday I posted the best book set in high school for our Calendar Girls Event (winner: Heart on a Chain by Cindy C Bennett!

Tuesday was all about my top 5 “pee your pants” funny books!

If you are in a sad mood don’t look further I have your remedy πŸ˜‰Β

Wednesday was the usual WWW Wednesday and I also got to publish my September TBR! I am happy to say that I’ve already read two books in said TBR.

Thursday is the day when Dani makes us work! This week’s topic was easy! My favorite biker = Grizz from Nine Minutes Trilogy but as I have already raved about him I chose my second favorite *certainly not a consolation prize* his son in law Christian Bear (HOT ALPHA!)

Now next week will be another story because I don’t have a single clue as to which character I’ll feature given her topic!!!!!

For once I also did a tag on time and if you want to know what’s on my bucket list you can read it now πŸ˜‰Β

Finally I also shared my Fairyloot Unboxing and my questioning about keeping the subscription or not (lot of money and some past books were disappointing so ….).

In the blogosphere

I loved reading Aditi’s view of all the cliches YA books can hold and what some of her pet peeves were.

https://dreamyreads82.wordpress.com/2018/09/06/it-only-happens-in-ya-books-ya-books-can-be-annoying-sometimes-and-thats-the-tea/

That’s it for this week.

Oh yes and I changed the graphic for The Sunday Post giving itΒ  a “Fall” vibe.

How was your week? Anything that I should be aware? And what do you think about box subscription: keep or let go?

Thanks for reading and happy Sunday!

Sophie

  5. Congratulations to your son and daughter! Graduating is a big achievement. I barely passed my Spanish requirement for high school, so I can relate to the language struggle. I did okay on the written part of the exams, but speaking? No. I’m too anxious for that!
