Hello dear friends,
I’m back for my second Sunday Post with some news on how my week went on and a blogger shoutout.
he Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted here @ Caffeinated Reviewer. Itβs a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.
Private life first
This week has been hectic and I really struggled to follow my feed. I promise to do better this week and comment aplenty. My daughter has been sick, nothing serious just a stomach bug and I got a new car.
My US friends would be proud of me as it’s a SUV: plenty of room and high up on my seat to see the road and tower up. As I’m five feet two it’s an empowering feeling πΒ
Something that you haven’t seen on the blog but that helps me growing as a blogger and is so much fun: yesterday I had a Photoshop lesson (again) with Talia at Redhotink. She was in New York and I was in Belgium and we chatted via skype while sharing our screens via FCC conference! Some hours later I was in a video chat with Angy Potter (Angelica) from Collectors of Book Boyfriend as we brainstormed on the graphic for next month common challenge. You’ll have a daily choice of authors following the theme of the day. March will be another great month! Angy also designed my new logo that you can find below!
I’m always amazed at the ease to communicate with bloggers and authors all around the world! Skype, Messenger video chat, Whatsap, FCC, etc. make it possible to connect and collaborate with many people from everywhere. As I love meeting other people, other cultures etc it’s a dream came true!
On the blog now
I have the honor to host the event All About Love and many bloggers friends and favorite authors do share very intimate moments and view on love with us. I’m so grateful to all of them as they wrote something unique and often vulnerable exposing their thoughts.
Since last Sunday you’ve had:
Suzanne, Katy and Stephanie from Tied Up in Romance: HERE
Suanne Laqueur sharing the reason why her husband is “the one” HERE
Brittany at Perfectly Tolrable talking about our love for our pets HERE
Ramona at Ramona Reads with Love talking about her fiancΓ© HERE
Sarah at Musing of the Modern Belle with a touching story about her grandparents and her husband HERE
Emma Scott explaining why Love is intricately linked with art HERE
Amy from Foxy Blogs talking about her love for libraries HERE
I have written and posted two reviews and true to myself I switched between adult contemporary and YA fantasy:
The Smallest Part by Amy Harmon: Contemporary adult 4,5 stars HERE
The Cruel Prince by Holly Black: YA fantasy 6 stars HERE
I’ve participated in the weekly meme of Top 5 hosted by Shanah at Bionic Book Worm with this week’s topic being our top 5 cover buys. Well it’s been a cover orgy! HERE I’ve also written my WWW Wednesday and First Line Friday.
Blogger shoutout
This week I would like to features Evelina at avalinahsbooks. Evelina has gathered many international bloggers on Discord with the goal of helping each other. More experienced bloggers give a hand to newbies and it’s a very supportive and positive community! If you are interested please join us!
She also writes fantastic discussion posts and her latest one is about being better organized as a blogger and scheduling posts. http://avalinahsbooks.space/organized-blogger-writing-scheduling-posts/
Pfew that’s it for last week. Next week will be hyper busy with other posts for All About Love (one of them will be written by my daughter!) a review of In Harmony by Emma Scott and other reads as I’ve gotten many ARCs to read. Oh and my unboxing or Fairyloot January “Talk Faerie to Me”. Better late than never.
What have you been up to this week? What are your plans?
Happy Sunday everyone!
Sophie
Congrats on the new car!! Ooh, Photoshop lessons are defiitely useful for us bloggers π
And thank you so much for the shoutout <3 sorry it took me a while to notice, I am struggling with catching up to the blog lately.
No worries Evelina! I won’t get pingback either as I had to disable them when I experienced a “pingback attack” some months ago! So if you mention me somewhere it would be best to leave a link in a comment on one of my posts π
I LOVE this kind of post! I read Evelinaβs post, she is so smart and helpful! I LOVE all the international bloggers, itβs hard to tell that you arenβt native English speakers. β₯οΈ
Thank you Dani! We do our best to speak English properly LOL
You are a busy gal lately Sophie! What is Discord? It sounds like a really interesting blogger group! I love your new logo btw! =D
Discord is like another media to chat and have discussions with people. It’s often used by gamers to chat online. You have different “channels” following the topic of your discussion and can create groups like ours. My son laughed so hard when he heard that his mom would be on Discord ;-))))
That sounds like fun!
Oh yes Daisy!
I hope your daughter feels better soon. Stomach bug sucks. Sounds like you have been super busy and very commited to learning ps.
Yes Annemieke that’s all me: overachiever once I set my mind on something π My daughter feel much better thank you!
Wow…you are one busy lady!!! Love the graphic and thanks for pointing me towards Evalina’s blog…I really could use that info! I hope your daughter feels better and congrats on your car!
Thank you Trisy! And yes please join us!

Congrats on the car! That’s always exciting. π And your All About Love event looks great too!
I have been wanting to try Holly Black so glad to see you liked the Cruel Prince. Have a great week!
Thank you Greg! You too π
I’ve been blogging 6 years and still learning. Evalina’s posts are amazing! I drive an SUV and always will. So many on the road and driving a car seems dangerous now. LOL Happy to hear your daughter is doing better.
My Sunday Post
Then it’s a good think that I love to learn π It’s the best part of life as I’m curious and always want to know more!
I’ve never liked small cars, I feel too low to the ground. SUVs are the way to go! XD Have a great week!
Hope your daughter is feeling better, and hooray, new car!
It looks like you have had a great week here, although I am sorry to hear that your daughter was sick. π Hope she is feeling better. Getting a new car is always the BEST feeling.
