I’ve been nominated by the awesome Birdie  for this tag. I’m truly happy as it’s one I’ve wanted to do for some months now!  So thank you Birdie! Dear Reader just go have a look at her blog Birdiebookwormblog.  She has everything you want: awards, interesting discussions, picks from her kid (love it as my kids are big readers too and I always share my top books with them) plus HUGE PERK diversity in her reviews (YA/Adult/contemporary/fantasy…).

Would you rather…

  1. Have unlimited money for Ebooks, or a $5000 B&N giftcard?

Well Ebooks are really cool as you get them immediately, don’t have shelves plowing under their weight etc. BUT buying paper books is a big treat! You enter into the bookstore and never want to leave. Just ask my husband who followed me three weeks ago in Tattered Bookstore Denver when I was on holiday. He had to peel me from the shelves  😉 You have the smell, the colors, so many choices and pretty books! So of course I would rather have $500 B&N giftcard. THINK about all these lovelies on your shelves! All the bookstagrams… And it would be the perfect excuse to buy new trendy shelves.

  1. Meet any deceased Poet, or J.K. Rowling?

Honestly I’m not into poetry at all. Don’t shoot me but it’s always remained an obscure genre for me. J. K. Rowling on the other hand..she is a genius! I began reading in English as Harry Potter’s sequel was not published yet in my mother tongue and I just could not wait. So meet J.K. Rowling it is.

  1. Write the world’s most famous book, or visit the world of your favourite book for one day?

Write the world’s most famous book. Not for the fame but for all the opportunities it would open in the bookish world. I could meet other authors! Go to conventions, I could interview fellow authors. Get enough money to… buy many paper books LOL.

  1. Choose___or___? (Insert characters from your favourite fictional love triangle.)

I hate love triangle. I just want to shake the female (or male) character and tell her (him) to just make up her (his) mind. So I don’t have a favorite love triangle. What I could choose (because it’s you) would be between Adam and Warner. I would choose Warner as I usually fall for the “bad boy” or the “grey character”.

  1. Experience Hogwarts in a very realistic and accurate virtual reality, or travel around the world for a year, at no cost.

Travel the world for a year at no cost. I’m just back from three weeks in the US and I loved it. I still want to see so much more in the US, in Africa (Mists of the Serengetti made me dream of Kenya),… Usually books make me want to see the place they are about with my own eyes. So yes travel I choose.

  1. Thank you so much for all your kind words! It really felt great to hear. I do try to keep my reading as diverse as possible, even though sometimes I do get caught up in the M/M romances, lol!

Also, any excuse for new book shelves is the right thing. I keep telling my husband that I need a new bookshelf, even though between my daughter and I we have 6. 😀

    1. Well between my daughter, my son and I we must have a total of 6 too 😉 I considered building a new room dedicated to books LOL

  2. Loved you answers. I agree 100% on the B&N option. Last week I had an afternoon off and I visited four of the bookstores closest to me, just book-gazing and wishing I could buy them all. Even though ebooks are handy, nothing beats the feeling of a paperback

    1. So true!!! I visited every bookstore I could find on my way these last weeks as I was in the US (Denver, Durango, …). Unfortunately we don’t have so many bookstores selling English books here. I have to order on Amazon.
