I am talking friends who have similar taste to mine! Some in audiobooks like Mogsy, some in romance like Tanya or Samantha….

4) The trope(s).

I have real click bait words like “magic competition”, “magic school”, “small town romance”, “single dad” etc

5) The Hype

I confess that this is a make or break but I am often too curious to resist.

6) The cover

I am a sucker for pretty covers and can hardly resist!

7) Goodreads or Storygraph or Amazon’s recommendation

  6. I am a sucker for a good cover. I have added books to my TBR based on cover alone. Favorite authors are a must as well, and favorite tropes. I love small towns, but also second chance romance and friends-to-lovers. I agree about friends who have similar taste to that of my own. I have seen meh ratings, but if someone I trust who tends to like the same books as me liked it, I will read it.
