Hi dear friends!

Today I am not home but I’ll be sleeping at the hotel and training hard the whole week! So I had to schedule most of my posts this week hence my choice to keep this Top 5 Tuesday nice and easy.

When Shanah @bionicbookworm asked us about our top 5 re read I decided to choose books that moved me deeply or astonished me so much that I would love reading them for the first time again!

As I am still a rebel (a leopard does not change its spots) I can’t promise to stop at 5!

And sorry but you’ll see many favorites I’ve already raved about but…there is a reason why I love them so much!

In the category of “destroyer of the soul” I woud love to read for the first time ever:

Forbidden by Tabitha Suzuma; A Charm of Finches by Suanne Laqueur and The Silver Cage by Anonymous

In the category “so beautiful it elevates your soul” I would love to rediscover:

Making Faces by Amy Harmon; Radiance by Grace Draven ; Wolfsong by TJ Klune ;  Stolen by Lucy Christopher; Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens; Mists of the Serengeti by Leylah Attar and The Bourbon Thief by Tiffany Reisz

In the category “controversy and hard topics/triggers” I would love to read anew:

All the Ugly and Wonderful Things by Brynn Greenwood; It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover; Captive in the Dark by CJ Roberts; If You Find Me by Emily Murdoch

In the category “favorite historical” I would choose:

Salt to the Sea by Ruta Sepetys; From Sand and Ash by Amy Harmon and Beneath a Scarlet Sky by Mark T Sullivan.

Pfew here you have all the books that touched me deeply.

Now do we have some in common? What books would you love to re read?

Thanks for reading!

Sophie

  1. I think Radiance is in my TBR but I still haven’t read it. Most of the books I still haven’t re-read yet are series, like Hush Hush, Cyborg Seduction, The 100 etc. I also need to re-read Carry On before Wayward Son comes out.

    1. Oooh Jamsu Radiance was just extraordinary! I will go check your wishes as soon as I am back home this weekend!

    1. The training is going very well Greg but the schedule is crzay busy! I am so behind replying and commenting bad it’s awful!

    1. No the AC is good but I barely sleep 5 to 6 hours because we finish the day so late Laura!

    1. It is going well but it is crazy busy Nicole! I barely have 15 minutes free time from 8 AM to 11 PM! It sucks if I want to reply to comments!!!

  2. Grace Draven is on my radar as I read a short story of her in an anthology which I really liked but I still haven’t gotten around to reading any of her books.
Great list of *uhem* your 5 re-read 😉

  3. Can you believe I’ve not read any of these for the first time yet although several are on my TBR and I Will get to them one day!
I rarely reread books because I hate knowing exactly what is going to happen. If I love a book enough that it could be a reread, I have to leave it until I’ve forgotten most of the story. Weird, I know!

    1. Not weird Stephanie! I also wait a loong time before rereading for the exact same reason!

  4. I just reread Making Faces for the book challenge and it was wonderful, but alas, not as good to me as the first time since I already knew what was coming. Don’t you wish you could erase your memory of a book right before rereading it so you can experience it all over again “new”?

    1. EXACTLY! I would love to read them with virgine eyes and mind Tracey! To experience them for the first time ever!

  5. I’ve had Forbidden sitting n my shelf for *at least* 5 years and still haven’t read it. It’s one of those that I keep passing over and thinking “oh yes, I need to get to that soon.” I really want to re-read All the Ugly and Wonderful Things. That one made such a huge impact on me and I’d love to go back, read it again, and see what else I take from it.
