Dear Santa, I’ve been a very good girl this year …

Top 5 Tuesday is a meme created by Shanah @Bionicbookwormblog

It’s been months now since I’m participating weekly and I had a blast as her topics are always interesting if not a challenge!

Dear Santa,

I’ve been a very good girl this year.

I’ve helped my kids work for school, I nursed them when they were ill and I consoled them when they were sad. I woke up for my dog eight times some nights when she was sick. I’ve encouraged my husband to lose weight as he desperately wanted *no I did NOT make him run while holding a whip* and I listened when he wanted to rant. I helped my mom to figure out how to send pictures with her phone and gave books to my dad *yes he is a bookjunkie too*.

I offered chocolates to all my colleagues and financed an escape room activity as they had worked hard all year.

Soooooooooooooooooooooooo I think I deserve a little reward … hint, hint.

What could a booknerd like? Well that’s easy: books!

As I’m a very helpful gal I made you a list! See I’m really a good girl so you should be extra generous this year with me 😉

Let’s begin with the easiest: 5 books that I’m dying to read and that have already been published.

1 Renegades by Marissa Meyer

Because the cover is just fantastic, everyone rave about the book and I love Marissa’s stories!

2 Butterfly by Cambria Hebert

Because the cover is gorgeous (see a pattern here?), I love Cambria’s stories and the blurb is right up my alley (celebrity bad boy having to go underground. He meets a girl who does not know him. She’s the one that got away and he want her back).

3 Warcross by Marie Lu

Because… well the cover, it’s about gamers and the ratings are fantastic!

4 Grip by Kennedy Ryan

Because all of my friends, including Ana or especially Ana, are threatening me with bodily harm if I don’t read it soon. Well Ana is not threatening me as she is a doll rather sweetly and encouragingly urge me TO JUST READ IT!

5 Invictus by Ryan Graudin

Because well the cover is just luscious, I don’t like time traveling books but Shanah loved it AND even Lola loved it and the girl is picky with her reads. Of course it has tons of fantastic ratings and I would love to try a new author.

Now Dear Santa I know you are the best, the kindest AND magical! So it should be possible to get me extra early books that are not yet released right?

Well let’s try and see if you could send me…

6 The Smallest Part by Amy Harmon

Because Amy is my go-to author. The one that crushed my heart but left me elated and overjoyed countless times with her books. I just need it now!

7 Queen of Air and Darkness by Cassandra Clare

Because Lord of the Shadows ended on an inhuman cliffhanger! I swear Cassie Clare wants my death. I think it’s my favorite series written by this author and I just love all the characters.

8 In Harmony by Emma Scott

Because I inhale every story she writes. Because I just know I will smile, swoon and probably cry ugly tears with this one too.

9 Rayne and Delilah’s Midnite Matinee by Jeff Zentner

This one will be a real challenge as the publishing date is 2019 but Jeff Zentner has been a fabulous discovery in the YA world and I just adore every words this guy writes.

10 The next Beth Flynn (no name yet)

Because it’s about the kids and Christian seems hot! Because it’s Beth and I need my fix! I know she can turn my world upside down and make me think right is left and vice versa!

Now Santa I swear you’ll find some sweets waiting for you just to give you some incentive to HURRY UP! 😊

And you dear readers what books would you like to get from Santa?

Thanks for reading!

Sophie
