Top 5 tuesday is aweekly meme imagined by Shanah @BionicBookWorm.
I love her blog and her ideas! It’s always original and sometimes takes me out of my comfort zone.
I must be the bane of Shanah’s existence by now as I’m always posting my top 5 late. I’m certain Lewis Carol’s rabbit must be my ancestor and it’s genetic . 😀
So today’s topic is which characters would you at your side to rule the worl?
Well I may have cheated “slightly” as I chose 5 characters and … a consort! Well ruling can be a tyring exercise even with sidekicks and I would need a shoulder to cry on or someone to kick my butt and tell me to “just do it already” no?
So here are my choices:
First Kestrel from The Winner’s Curse series by Marie Rutkoski.
She would be my head strategist. She is one of the smartest girls I know. Give her an objective a citadel to win and she is your girl.
Second Vikram from A Crown of Wishes by Roshani Chokshi
He is handsome but also smart and cunning. He has earned his nickname as the Fox Prince. He could charm the pants of Tatty Maggie. Really helpful when you have to use diplomacy. Good negociator (for treaty that’s always useful) he has a good sense of humor. When everything goes to hell you always need humor!
Third Lada from The Conqueror’s Saga by Kiersten White
She would lead my army. She is cunning, determined, never stop. She fights like a man and has tons of charisma to inspire her men to follow her. She won’t shy away if a dirty job has to be done and she will certainly inspire loyalty.
Fourth Starr from The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas
Starr would be my moral compass. She is courageous and can become a symbol for a revolution. Kind of like Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Game (she would be a good sidekick too). Plus she could inspire fashionistas with her love for sneakers. Ruling the world yes but in designer sneakers please!
Kell is loyal, he is protective of those he loves and he can do magic. Magic could be my secret weapon. I would just have to find him a room to collect all his little treasures gathered in other universes.
And now for my King I would choose Rhysand from ACOTAR by Sarah J Maas. Sorry Ladies and Gents but I love him too much and he is too great a ruler not to woo him and sweep him off his feet.
And you who would you choose?
Thanks for reading!
The Conqueror’s Saga by Kiersten White is on my tbr. TJ is reading book 1 and is loving it. And I heard the heroine kicks ass. Can’t wait to pick it up. Not sure about Kell – but he defiantly grew on me. 😀
Well Corina you and TJ read so many books these weeks! If I can finish 2 books a week I’m happy. Granted I also do beta read and pick big books but still… Blogging take so many time but gives lots of joy 😉 And work is kicking my @ss so there’s that plus the kids are back to school. I can’t wait to have you read this trilogy (well duology as for now)!
You’re not always late!! LOL!
Your list is fantastic! There are few books on there that I haven’t gotten to yet (I still haven’t read The Star Touched Queen and And I Darken) but now that these authors have made it on your list I may need to get to them sooner!
Thanks again for participating!!!
You are welcome Shanah really as I love your topics!!!
