Hi friends,

Top 5 Tuesday is back! Long hosted by Shanah @bionicbookworm (she was the creator), she has now new challenges awaiting her and Meeghan from @meeghanreads has become our new mastermind!!!

In the meantime I participated in Top 10 Tuesday and I think I’ll still dive in when the topic will be calling to me! Maybe do both?

Anyway, today’s topic is “character’s I’d like to dress up as”.

I thought I would give this post a little twist! Because if I would love to cosplay these characters (and I’d do it for YALC London where we have amazing cosplays) I already made their funko pop!

And the key to make a funko is to find a characters easily recognizable! Hence easy to cosplay right?

So let’s see who I would choose to be for one day.

The first one is Jude Duarte from The Cruel PrinceFolk of the Air trilogy by Holly Black. I would love to have my air like horns with flowers in them, so typical Jude! And that ballgown for once would be so gorgeous

The second one would be Cordelia Carstairs from Chain of Gold by Cassandra Clare!

I love her copper hair, her dark skin as she is of part Indian descent, her faithful Cortana in her hand! And of course I’d choose that green teal long gown too.

My third character is a witch and a warrior! She rides a wyvern, has golden eyes and white hair!

You guessed it, it’s Manon Blackbeak from the Throne of Glass series by Sarah J Maas.

I would love wearing that tight black pant and shirt with the swirling red cloak.

My fourth cosplay loves eating waffles, has been through hell and back and used to be able to heal people and stop hearts.

She stole Matthias Hevlar’s heart but later on, became the one to raise the deads.

You guessed it, I would be Nina Zenik from Six of Crows or rather The Grishaverse series by Leigh Bardugo. I would have a red gown and a blue coat, just like her and wear green contact lens and a light brown wig!

And my last one would be a healer!

Part Djinn and ex con artist! I would love cosplaying as Nahri from The Daevabad’s trilogy by SA Chakraborty. I would choose garments fit for a celebration just like my funko here below!

What characters would you like to cosplay as?

Thanks for reading!

Sophie

  1. While I haven’t read any of thoses books, the funkos are just SO. Pretty!! My favorite is definately Nahri, although I’d feel like I would step on some lines there with cosplaying her.. she looks to be wearing some traditional cultural items there.

  2. I love all of those Funkos, so fracking cute, Sophie!! Ok so I know that Lehabah (Lele) from Crescent City doesn’t wear much but how cool would it be to be a fire sprite?!?! Also, the assassin, Fury Axtar from Crescent City would be fun! But also Xhex from the Black Dagger Brotherhood series or…well, a lot of others, LOL! Awesome post!

  3. I definitely like your twist on the topic, because I’d honestly rather look at people’s crafty/art creations more than cosplay, but that’s just me. Your funkos are incredible, that one of Nahri is AMAZING with all the tiny details, you did a great job!

  4. I absolutely adore your funko pops, especially Nahri, that one is defined special. And bravo, you have a great gift for doing these, Sophie.
